  1. Hi Sandra, I am a vegan personal trainer and gym manager and work with a lot of people who are using the gym for the first time. I always encourage people to start lightly with just a few exercises and only 1 or 2 sets. See how sore you are the next day and from there you will know whether you need to do more or less. I love Zuzanna's website and workouts but I wouldn't say they are for beginners. What tends to happen is people don't exercise that often, they feel guilty and then go to the gym (or do a home workout) and overdo it to try and make up for their guilt. Really we need to be consistent and gradually overload the muscles which will make them stronger (and ultimately change shape to produce a more aesthetically pleasing body). I hope this helps
  2. Hi everyone! I have been vegan for about a year and a half after watching "Earthlings" and I have never felt better. I work in the fitness industry in Australia (I am a personal trainer and gym manager) and I am thinking of entering my first figure competition next year. Trouble is all the personal trainers and other competitors I talk to are all meat eaters and can give me no advice about following a vegan diet for competing. I ordered Roberts book and it arrived today. I was a little concerned that the programs in there seemed a little high in calories (the lowest was 3,500) and I thought that seemed a bit high for a female trying to get lean. Is there anyone out there..including you Robert who can give me any advice on writing myself a fat loss nutrition program for female fat loss? Any help will be mucho appreciated
