Tuesday Jan 31 - 35 situps, 35 pushups, 35 lawnmowers on each side with 24lbs. 15 dumbbell squats with 100lbs. this journal has been a great motivator for me, i feel like staying consistent and reporting to everyone has helped me a ton stay motivated. i am feeling very good at the end of this month, and i feel that i am looking stronger than i ever have before. Thank You Robert for putting on this whole program!

  3. Sunday Jan 29 - 35 situps, 35 pushups, 35 lawnmowers on each side with 24lbs. 13.1 Mile trail half marathon, with a lot of steep hills in the end. great day!

  6. I drink a smoothy packed with fruits, vegetables, chia, and vega. I do some sort of excersize. Try to learn something new.
  7. Wednesday Jan 25 - 34 pushups, 34 sit-ups, 34 Lawnmowers on each side with 24lbs, 2.5 hours on the spinner bike
  8. Tuesday Jan 24 - 34 pushups, 34 sit-ups, 34 Lawnmowers on each side with 24lbs, Swimming Drills, for 45 minutes. Pedal on the spinner for 1 hr.
  9. Monday Jan 23 - 34 pushups, 34 sit-ups, 34 Lawnmowers on each side with 24lbs, 1/2 Mile (+3 Laps) Swimming.
  10. Sunday January 22, recovery day, sore from yesterday!
  11. Saturday Jan 21 4.5 Mile Trail run 2.5 Miles on treadmill at 15 degree incline insanity max interval plyometrics workout
  12. Abs, I've always wanted a flat stomached, and this year it is going to happen!
  13. Friday Jan 20 - Insanity Fast and Furious, through in a 1/4 mile at a 5 minute pace at the end felt good so to end the day i did my 33 pushups, 33 sit-ups, and 33 lawnmowers on each side with 24lbs. then 1.5 hrs spinning on the bike.

  15. Wednesday Jan 18 - 33 pushups, 33 sit-ups, 33 Lawnmowers on each side with 24lbs, 1/2 hour fartlek Treadmill training, including over a mile worth of running at 5 minute mile pace.
  16. My motivation comes from my desire to live a healthy long life, from my need to be a good husband and father. I also get motivation from posting workouts on Facebook and this website, all my friends keep me honest. Lastly, I enjoy competition, and challenges.

Thanks Dylan, one of my goals at the beginning of the year was to just keep slowly increasing my pushups, pull-ups and sit-ups, i have just decided to add lawnmowers into the mix. my goal is to increase by only 1 per week for the entire year, getting me to 82 of each by the end of the year. this is the minimum workout i want to do 5x per week. if i feel like it i will go harder. i am trying to increase my endurance, without tearing myself up too much. i am mostly working on training for the 50mile ultra marathon, i just want to get some upper body into the workout also. i increased by 1 per day starting at 8 on the 8th of december, and then switched to upping 1 per week. the thing i like is it is challenging, i feel like i am increasing my endurance, and it still feels doable. every week i am surprised at how increasing one feels as hard as increasing by one the previous week, and as the week continues, they seem to get easier. i am not real into building bulk, i am mostly wanting to get as toned as possible and not have any extra unnecessary weight to carry on my ultras, of course after i finish the 50 mile race, i will be eying 100k, then 100 miles, and ironman... those are my long term fitness goals. thanks again for the input, love the encouragement and this training journal keeps me motivated that people are watching, so i have no excuses! jim
