  1. start with a 500-750 calorie daily deficit and adjust as needed, weight loss is simply calories in vs calories out. regardless of diet, eat less calories and you will lose weight.
  2. only thing to do for abs of primary concern is to drop bodyfat do compound exercises like squats, lunges, deadlifts, etc and your abs will get hit harder than any direct ab work you will ever do adding in crunches/situps/etc will help in the long run for development, but body fat is the primary factor
  3. ISSA is a great study @ home course, however most gyms/studios will look for NASM/ACSM/NSCA as their primary hiring consideration. if you have any bkgrd in ex science, kinesiology its super easy to pass
