j37634 Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 Ok I'm a new(er) vegan. After an intense leg workout today, I ended the workout not having clue what to eat/drink. My old days would have been a whey-based protein shake. Sure, I could go with a soy isolate based drink...but there must be other choices right? Mini Forklift Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 I just consume a vegan protein shake straight after my workout (usually either pea or brown rice protein ~ SunWarrior is great) with some fruit just so I can get a bit of carbs into me. If you(just like me) really want to have a shake after your workouts you could go for a vegetarian protein blend, sunwarrior is a great choice as well - like MF stated. The most consumed are pea protein, rice, hemp, soy or a blend Check out www.veganproteins.com and see some choices, they have good prices on their selection but there are cheaper brands available on other websites.
