willpeavy
I love artichokes. I was an all you can eat Asian/Wok style restaurant last weekend and I kept loading my plate up with artichoke hearts.
veganmadre
Mmmm. Me too! Love em! I don't like the marinated ones though. I love the one's that are canned. I love eating them straight from can, adding them to pasta, and of course, pizza.
Michelle
I had my first artichoke last week! I was in a restaurant and it was part of a big plate o'veggies I was working on, so I got brave and tried it. It's not my favorite vegetable of all time, but I'd be willing to eat it again, for sure. It was unique. Avocados scare me, though. They're so... green... like someone sneezed. I don't even like looking at them, especially as guacamole. What do they taste like? compassionategirl
Mmmmm.....i luv avocados, especially in a really good guacamole. Very high in calories and fat though (although the good fats).
veganmadre
i love me an avocado. but never plain. I typically mash it up with garlic salt and put it in a sandwich as a spread. Or, for guacamole, I mash it up, add garlic salt, and then stir in a little salsa (I like Frontera brand fire roasted salsas). It's a really mild, mellow taste. Nothing to be afraid of. Though like compassionategirl says, high fat and calories so nothing to eat on a regular basis.
