1 x 10 x 70 kg - it was really only supposed to be 8 reps, but I felt like doing 10 for some reason..

 

I focused on technique today, pausing at the bottom. It felt much better and I'm confident about 5 x 85 kg now.

Yeah it took me a while to get used to that exercise but I like it. I went to the gym today and did dumbbell rows instead..I couldn't find a spare barbell and didn't want to hang around waiting.

Probably could have got the 5th rep but didn't have a spotter and didn't want to risk it. Oh well that's progress I guess..

From what I've been learning at the powerlifting club it is best to try and drop into the squat, not to slow down at the bottom. Almost like bouncing. It feels very strange and unnerving at the start but it gets easier and increases the weight a fair bit.

Good numbers anyway mate

Haha I hope not!

 

When I visited my girlfriend in the States in December I had a few weeks off from squatting but eventually found a gym over there. I only did light front squats but the following two days were hell. My legs hurt so much that I could hardly walk up and down a set of stairs.

I trained at home today. I need to get some spotter stands for when I squat..It makes me a bit nervous squatting without them. I just did squats and bench press today because I was getting hungry.. I'll do rows and curls etc tomorrow and then I'm off to Sydney to meet my girlfriend at the airport. She's coming over from the states. We haven't seen each other since January so I'm VERY EXCITED!
