At least some people are doing something in the right direction even if it means to travel to China... although of course I would not agree entirely with what they eat. But an improvement. I think our country's problem is that it has way more crap to eat than other countries, and it is incredibly available and inexpensive. So if you try to lose weight on your own, it makes it more difficult, with all the temptation. I don't necessarily think that its saying US doctors don't do anything for weight loss. Most doctors KNOW the basics of good nutrition (most!). I'm pretty sure that if people went to a clinic where they couldn't eat crap in the US, they'd lose weight too.
