Can you grow your own produce in the Canadian prairies or is it to cold?

There's a SUPER short growing season. So for a couple of weeks you can find local stuff at the farmer's market, but it's certainly not cheap. Otherwise our stuff is coming from the U.S. I imagine prices in warmer places in Canada are better.

And don't worry, I do plan on moving, as soon as I'm done school next year!

Hey, snow bunny where do you live Yukon?

Saskatchewan. A lot of grains are grown here, but not so much produce. Like I said, there's a bit at the farmer's market for a few weeks out of the year. But that stuff is far from cheap. Still, I buy what I can there just to support local farmers.

I was only joking around about living in Yukon. MLB pitcher Eric Gagne said when he was growing up in Quebec, baseball season was only 3 months long.
