What vitamins should i take if any?

B12. I'm guessing you get enough sun down under so vitamin D isn't a problem...?

Otherwise you only need supplements if you have a poor diet/eat very very little energy.

Why do you think you need to take vitamins and minerals? I'm curious also why you seem concerned about magnesium? Do you know what the best dietary sources of magnesium is?

You should probably post your diet if you want better help.

I take D2 and the occasional B12, which are solely to round out the diet (I don't actually feel any benefit from them).

 

I also often take a Calcium/Magnesium supplement and eat at least one banana a day to prevent muscle cramps. For most of my life I've been prone to intense calf cramps and the bananas seriously help with that. The Cal/Mag seems to prevent cramps I'd otherwise experience when running or squatting.

 

I've occasionally taken zinc and magnesium at night and it gives me some vivid dreams and I do wake up a bit more rested, but the effect has never been enough to remind me to take them regularly.
