jjMN
I have recently switched over to Vegan and am a competitive natural bodybuilder. High performance strength and power is extremely important to me. My old post-workout:25 grams Whey Protein Isolate30-50 grams Dextrose5 grams BCAA powder5 grams Glutamine5 grams Creatine I saw tremendous results with this shake, and researched these ingredients to formulate this shake. I'm wondering now if I can switch out the whey for soy protein? Any recommendations? Thanks! Josh
vegimator
You can do that or you can create a custom mix at trueprotein.com. The best amino acid composition is in a 70/30 pea/rice protein blend. You can add creatine, glutamine and dextrose with the blend option too but (and someone may have to correct me here), their BCAAs are animal derived so you'll need to buy those separately and add them. Purple Wraath is vegan.

vegimator
How about the Vitamin Shoppe's Veggie Protein? http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=VS-1489 It looks good except that it's way more expensive than if you go the trueprotein route. Trueprotein pea/rice (which is the main protein this uses too) is like $5 a pound.
