brettmartin
I figure a lot of you consume tofu, so I was just wondering what brand and where you buy it from. I'm sure expense is a big issue. I would like to have pre-cooked tofu but I'm sure that's more expensive, so I figure a lot of you just cook your own tofu in large quantities? Thanks so much! KumaraMash
I live in New Zealand, and normally buy non-GMO organic tofu from my local tofu shop (so it is fresh, so tastes better). If I am away somewhere, I then buy Tonzu organic tofu. The fresher it is, the better it tastes.
chrisjs
I get mine from the local asian supermarket, it's usually just under a dollar a pound. It's non-gmo but not organic.
VeganEssentials
We're lucky to have the Simple Soyman company nearby, who makes some awesome tofu (non-GMO, but not organic), probably the best-tasting fresh tofu I've ever had. About $1.75/lb if I recall, stuff is so good, a bit of heating in the microwave with some Bragg's Liquid Aminos drizzled over it makes for a great snack. Good stuff!
