JW
whoooaaaaa!!! stepped on the scale for the first time in about 3 months232LBSLast I checked I was between 223 and 225 Definitely some increase in muscle mass but I wasn't expecting weight gain. This is uncharted territory for me as I have never made a comittment to putting on upper body muscle mass before. When I ran long distance I weighed in at around 190-195 LBS This kind of freaks me out because I don't know what weight will be optimum for me. I still want to but a bit of mass on my chest and arms so what will that mean...? 240LBS 250LBS ?? btw I am 6' 3.5" tall

MaryStella
I love Vega so I would recommend that. What do you eat? Tofu, Tempeh are pretty high in protein. Try to find items made with hemp they are usually high in protein, such as hemp bagels which have 19G per serving.
JW
one of my problems is that I'm trying to eat less soy. So I've been eating more pea protein and hemp protein.I think I'll be able to do it, just need to change eating habitsI agree on vega. It's an awesome product!! JW
A little sore today from yesterdays workout. For some reason the day after a workout, I am just RAVENOUS!!!I can't get enough food in me! was at a meeting last night re: my son's school trip to Quebec. This should be interesting! It still has some soy in it though. Lentils also have a lot of protein. And of course beans. I guess I would have to know more about what you eat so I know what to suggest. You can use Quinoa as your base instead of rice for a lot of dishes. that will up the protein content. If you bake you can bake quinoa into your bread/muffins etc. Also you can make your own protein bars for snacks using VEGA.

I don't eat much pasta but when I do I use the Ezekiel brand. that has a good amount of protein in it. Although you had to watch when you cook it because it cooks really fast. Have you tried Hemp bread? That also has a lot of protein in it for bread. It does taste grainy so I think you will like it. There is also Ezekiel brand bread and wraps. JW
hmmm that's a good call re: the hemp bread.I have to do something to change.Over the weekend, when I live a "regular" lifestyle (no always conscious of the protein intake)I dropped off to about 100g took it fairly easy over the weekend.... nice long walk for about 90 minutes on Saturday and then about an hour and a half of yard work yesterday.Back to the gym today!! Someone commented on how I'm looking muscular!!!
MaryStella
congrats on the compliment that is great. I am similar that if i don't really watch my protein consumption goes down significantly. But if i am training hard I really make it a priority for recovery purposes.
