Jason
Current Goals: Squatting 225 pounds for 20 reps before VV08Losing 2 inches in the belly during June Dec 14, 2007My road to 200 will be a little different than the others in the forums. Most are trying to get their bodyweight over 200.I'm trying to go the other way with my bodyweight, lose fat.Not long ago I was well over 200 (I was obese) My 200 pound goal is squats. 1 set of 20 reps.I'm loosely following the workout from bodybuilding.comMy squat workouts will be every 3 days instead of M, W, F Feb 27, 2008After a very long break I'm back at it again. April 26, 2008I feel like I'm seeing good progress on my squats, so I'll continue to concentrate on that.I will still be doing my treadmilling in my attempt to slim down.I will also keep doing my regular lifting except for deadlifting. After I get tired of squatting so much, I'll add deadlifting back in. I still want to clean up my diet, so from now on I will be logging my food. The last time I logged my food I ate much better. June 2, 2008Add another goal: Lose 2 inches of belly during the month of June.I did so well last summer losing fat, about 4 inches in the waist.Over the winter I put back on an inch.I'm going to lose 2 inches this month.I will measure it by my belt holes. dontxhide
I started that exercise a month ago. Next week is my last week on it. My five rep max at the beginning was at 150 (im a beginning squatter) so my first few squat days were really really easy. Now that I only have 3 squat workout lefts, 140, 145, and 150 I am dying. Yesterday I am puked. Fun times
Jason
That's alot of cardio . What is your diet like? Good luck with the weight loss. I wish I had the drive to do more cardio. In July and August I averaged 2.5 hours per day. I try to be as raw as possible. If it's cooked it is something like stir fry veggies or some rice. Fun times I got the 20 rep idea from one of your posts.I think that post got lost in the site crash.I'm going to just keep going up 5 pounds every 3 days until I can't get 20 reps. So far they've been easy, I can still do a few extra reps.I'm going to try for 30 reps X 125 pounds tonight.I'm doing these squats as deep as I can.
