  1. Wow, what an inspiration you are to me. You both do have a healthy glow and what a difference. I have a lot to lose and am making a transition now. It is true the more raw foods you eat the more you crave them. When I started eating salads and fresh fruits and ran out I felt lost in front of the fridge if there was nothing raw in there. Nothing else hits the spot once your body gets what it needs. You have no idea how happy seeing those pics makes me. Gives someone like me hope .
  2. Thanks . I have heard both that it is 1-1.5 per kilogram and per pound. I was just wondering, because it was suggested by someonen at another fitness forum that a 3oo pound woman eat 300 to 450 grams of protein to lose weight . This is by someone that seemed to be knowledgable about fitness and bodybuilding. I thought it was based on ideal body weight not current body weight. I was confused on that matter because someone very very obese would have to get much more and that would throw the ratio of carbs/fat/pro off unless much more calories were eaten, and that is not the goal for losing weight.
  3. Welcome! I'm in Florida too Nice lots of floridians I came from another forum where they are suggesting 1.5 plus per pound of body weight. That seems like too much to me. Someone commented that it could be harmful and hard on the kidneys. What does anyone know about this?
  4. How much should be eaten and how much is too much? What are the risks of eating too much?
  5. Thanks for your responses. I have been eating as much fresh food as possible. I am starting an organic garden. I just don't feel as good without the salad greens.
  6. Breast milk. Ok at this point I know that is not what you are asking or practical. I know babies until they are two need a good amount of fat for brain development until the age of two. I am sure someone more knowledgable will comment on this. I don't how to supplement the soy to compensate.
  7. Hello, I am new here. First, here is a little about me so you get an idea of who I am. I have been a meat eater most of my life recently going almost vegetarian eating some cheese and seafood. I have grown to like fruits and veggies, mostly raw over the years. My family still eats a meat based diet and I hope at least to get them to eat vegetarian meals more often. I want to start a detox right now. How should I start? Should I start by eating my usual dark green salad and fruits and just cut out the non vegan foods I had been eating ? I haven't searched for a detox yet. I thought since many of you have experience you can tell me the best way to go. Thankyou
