  1. groovy ma man, thanks everso I wasn't too happy about necking a bunch of tablets anyhow, best to keep things natural for maximum absorbtion. thanks for the replys guys.
  2. ah! wheat grass shots, reminds me of wholefoods store. actually this Beyond Greens really is the business as it has everything you just mentioned. pulp of defatted: brown flax seed, sunflower seed, sesame seed, oat bran, rice bran, barley grass, golden flax seed (whole), alfalfa grass, cane juice (dried), carrot, Soyforce GMO free powdered sprouted soybean, tomato, beetroot, oat grass, rye grass, cinammon bark, ginger root, peppermint leaf, bilberry leaf, spirulina, chlorella, broccoli, parsley, red clover blossom, kale, udo's choice digestive enzymes powder (amylase, lipase, protease, cellulase, glucoamylase, invertase, malt diastase, lactase, pectinase (with phytase) and bromelain in a base of beet root fibre), lemongrass, natural almond flavour, beet juice powder, psyllium husk, artichoke leaf, dandelion root, rosemary leaf, thyme herb, grape seed extract. it's not exactly cheap at 20 pounds (40 dollars) for 255g and one will usually last about a week. but it's lovely mixed up with soy milk, allbran, some strawberry's, crushed walnuts and the food doctors ultimate seed mix! the only dilema just now seems to be what to mix UDO's ultimate oil blend with, it tastes like.... well pretty nutty, the fruit seemed to mask the taste quite well. any thoughts anyone? cheers for the reply veganpotter, it's good to know chlorella and spirulina can be so beneficial, to be honest I was'nt exactly sure what they did. ta v muchly
  3. hey everyone, I know it's kinda highway to the danger zone and all, but I was thinking of cutting way back on fruit juice intake due to the super high amount of calories. proper fruit where I am in scotland is nothing no write home about really, apart from in the summer when we get wonderful berries and such. I realize you need certain foods to absorb certain vitamins but am a bit sketchy as to the details. so for this reason I kind of avoided vitamin pills up until now. so my fav drinks were innocent smoothies, blueberry and blackberry / cranberry and raspberry mixed with UDO beyond greens and UDO ultimate oil blend. like I say though, I'd like to cut back on the cals. can anyone recommend a brand of vitamin supplements I could take to replace the berry drinks with? the UDO beyond greens has got me covered on the B vit's methinks, I also have broccoli, red, green, yellow peppers, tomatos and ginger on a regular basis. either in a stir fry, or grilled in some balsamic. also I have alpro soy with tr-calcium phosphate, vitamin E, Riboflavin, D2 and B12 as well as plenty of seeds and nuts, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, hemp, linseed, walnuts, cashews, brazil nuts oh, also I have lemon and lime juice in mineral water daily anything that may be lacking? thanks in advance! sorry for the looooong post.
  4. thanks so much crashnburn. yeahhhh houston tx! actually I was born there. a few years back I used to run around that big ol reservoir around I-10 from highway 6! not the whole way though, hehe, that'd be like 70 miles or something... sheesh! usually I'd make it to, whats' the name of the tollway that goes on up to the airport? sam houston tollway methinks. I'm working on a vegan/veggie myspace so hopefully I'll have it up and running asap with recipes/piccys and hopefully some other cool stuff, workout routines etc. nice to meet cha
  5. sheesh, I'd lop off my arm for an egg about now :/ red dwarf put me off . kryten "mmmm boiled chicken ovulations" after lister had spent a millenia in stasis! I think he wanted onion bhajis instead though, can't quite remember.
  6. thanks so much everyone! yeah tis me, 10 years of hard labour :/ op's make that 11. I ran all the blubber off first, then started work to hone and tone. I never really wanted to be BIG, just supple, toned and hopefully find peace of mind in total fitness, I guess that was the inclination. currently 126@5'11" weapons of choice, yoga, running, dumbells, determination and soya milk! nice to meet you all!
  7. oh cashews go in at the very last second! otherwise they go all chewy and rubber like :/
  8. here in the UK we get organic cauldron tofu. I don't think I saw it out in the states, but could be wrong. it's quite firm and perfect for stir fry with broccoli and cashews, then add some soy sauce for flavour, hey presto! bob's your uncle. oh, it helps to half steam to broccoli first, and perhaps add some ginger to the pan beforehand. simple is always best
  9. this may sound a bit bland, but alpro soy mixed with UDO beyond greens! post workout it's purrrrfect
  10. good to be here, and thanks everyone!
  11. hey everyone! thank you so much for the warm welcomes! just enjoying a soy coffee over here, I know I know, coffee aint do best. but we gotta have some vices in life I guess. what's your poison? hehe, I should make that my first topic post. yes indeedy flanders77, yoga and running is a wonderful combo. the two compliment each other nicely methinks I'm not exactly a gym buff, just a bit shy to train around others, hopefully I'll get over that though. many thanks!
  12. hey everyone, hope you don't mind. I just stumbled across your forum and thought, wow, this is something I've been meaning to do forever! find new people who actually understand we don't have to eat 10 raw eggs in the morning, use steroids, eat copious amounts of meat, gobble up truck loads of whey, to achieve some decent results. we are what we eat after all. hi, I'm steve btw, 32 years old. trying really hard now for more than a decade of being vegan. I practice power yoga daily, lift dumbells, go running lot's, but always looking for new routines. that's me to a T. thanks for hearing me out, best wishes to you all from bonnie scotland!
