I kept myself fairly busy all day with work. Tomorrow I should be training legs so I'll try to get to bed around 1AM or shortly after. It's fun to see what types of foods I'm eating each day. We never eat what we think we eat when we're really honest with ourselves and really lay it all out there.

robert
I know I'm behind on my totals. I usually finish eating at 2AM and I'm too tired to get out my calculator and add things up. But I'll get on it soon. I will also create a list of goals. I've been eating so many Clif bars because my friend's store just went out of business (not a bad thing), he closed it to work on other projects and I bought a bunch of bars from him before he closed. Peanut butter is my favorite. I'm eating greens nearly everyday so I'm paying attention to that and there are still lots of things I want to improve on but I'm just putting all the cards on the table. Every single person hides behind something, including myself (thinking that we eat a certain way when really 99% of the time we don't eat the way we "think" we do). I actually give talks about that, how our brain remembers certain things for certain reasons. So anyway, I'm just putting it all out there. I used to think I didn't eat much junk food, and that I ate 10 bananas a day, and this and that and none of it is true. I do still eat a pretty good variety of things, and still get 4,000 calories a day, but it's not from yams and brown rice like I keep saying that I eat. This is my 6th or 7th day and I've had yams 0 times and brown rice once or twice. Being honest with ourselves and others is the only way to truly track our programs so we can accurately evaluate them and create change and progress. robert
I think so. It has only been a week since I've been focused on both nutrition and training. I know that seems funny, even as I write it (focused on nutrition) when I'm eating cookies, ice cream and drinking soda. But I am making a good effort to eat some variety, have protein shakes, eat consistently, take in adequate calories, etc. I'll get more details up later about my goals and I'll make totals for my food and liquid intake for the past few days. I think I am making progress and even if I'm not, emotionally I'm pleased with myself for my level of commitment to keep track of everything exercise and food wise. Time to go for the day. In the car all day today but I'll still get a lot of food. I already have a bag packed and prepared for my day trip for work Thanks for checking in on me. I think I'm making progress and just that hopefulness makes me happy.
Odidnetne
I know what you mean Rob. I try to eat a lot of greens and think I'm doing really well, then I realize I haven't had as many as I'd like. I try to avoid the junk as much as possible, but my problem is that I tend to binge a bit when I have them (ie: a pan of carob brownies in 2 days). robert
I'm too tired to add Thursday or Friday's total, but I will soon. I had 4 protein drinks today so lots of liquid food. Nice leg workout and some good food in general, just not enough rest. Off to bed now and up again in 4 hours or so.

robert
I'm still eating, and eating well! I just don't have the internet at home anymore and won't until early January so by time I return home for the day I don't have online access to update it. But....I'll write things down on paper and then transfer it over the next day at the internet cafe. So anyway, I'm still pumping in the food! Now, I just need to rest more. wfvegan
Thanks for keeping up w/ the journal Robert...I particularly like how you seem to get a ton of variety in everyday. Do you shoot for a particular calorie goal, or have you just gotten to the point of being able to intuitively eat to maintain your physique? robert
Thanks. I'm not as organized as I'd like to be. Once I get internet at home again, I'll be able to update this at the end of each day. I try to get variety and keeping a journal helps with that Big Time! I shoot for 3000 calories and 100 grams of protein each day and also shoot for having Vega every single day. I've achieved all of that, everyday for 4 weeks now. So maybe it's time to change the goals! I seriously only had 1 day of missing Vega and one, maybe two days of missing my 3000 and 100 amounts when I was in Canada. Other than that, I've been spot on. Not that those are hard to attain, but I've been able to pull it off and that is a small success. After the holidays I'll have my computer situation sorted out, and I'll be up to date on this. I'll also specify some new goals too.
