Eason
I remember hearing about some machine that can tell you exactly what nutrition deficiencies you have. If you guys know anything about this or something similar then that would be great.
Kathryn
A machine? Sounds like a gimmick to me. There are blood tests that can do that, though. Edited July 23, 2006 by Kathryn

Richard
do blood tests tell you every single vitamin and mineral? I think you have to like request for a specific test to be done on the blood, they normally test for a single deficiency at a time I think... Or perhaps a group of related ones? They (doctors) won't normally test for absolutely everything I think, although I am not sure. But in theory that could happen and as far as I know it would be a reliable way to see that you were deficient or not. This contraption you're talking about would be good! I haven't heard of something like that, I wonder how it would work, presumably you'd need to put some kind of sample into it (blood etc)

epilogue
I think if you were to go to your GP and ask for a full panel blood test, it would reveal any deficiencies in major vitamins, etc. I'm having it done next month as I am curious to see if I am lacking in anything. Guest
A spectrometer will find out every single element is in whatever sample of fluid is taken from your body. Its the ultimate tool to find chemical makeup for anything...too bad nobody will ever do this for you...when I was in college one of my friends did manage to test a bugar though...it was really funny and gross
