Can acne be cured by any herbal treatments?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am 25 years old female and facing problems of acne. I have done lots and lots of things to make it cure but always get failure in that. I also tried many allopathic treatments but the major problem remained as it is and side effects also joined it. I want to ask that if acne can be cured by any herbs or any kind of herbal treatments. Please give your suggestions. This acne is really making me irritating and frustrating. My bad looks are the result of this acne. Help me out.

what i do, basically i use hydrogen peroxide and keep stress to a minimum. i had the worst acne face in high school, every single product i used did little at best, nothing seemed to clear my skin whole out. couple of years ago i started using more natural products like apple cider viniger and oregano oil, but they didn't seem to help much. started using hydrogen peroxide and my face is as good as it's ever been. i still get bumps and an occasional breakout, but they go away so much faster no a ways. give it a shot it might help, plus it's like $1 a bottle so no worries if it doesn't work you won't go broke. also noticed i get more breakouts when i surrounded with stress, so learn to keep a handle on that and i eat tons of chocolate, yet no acne from that lol

zack is right on the water, drink a lot. caffeine triggers my breakouts, along with soy and peanuts to some extant, so play aorund with your diet and see what happens. btw, if you're using a protein powder, look into that, especially if it has a ton of vitamins/supplements added to it like alive or spirutein brands.

I used to have bad facial acne, although gladly that went away a few years ago (and I just turned 17, weird, right?). I still have bad body acne, however I've been able to keep it down.

Facial Acne (I don't do this anymore because the acne finally left for good):

In the shower, I wash my face thoroughly, with some kind of moisturizing soap bar or exfoliating soap.

After the shower, I applied oil-free moisturizing lotion to my face.

People say washing your face doesn't get rid of acne, although this really helped me. My guess is that the soap dries out the skin pores, and then they get moisturized so that oil glands don't overreact to the dry skin. This was my theory, but I could be wrong.

Body Acne:

I used to do the same thing I did for facial acne, although it didn't work as well. I haven't gotten rid of my acne, although it seems to get A LOT better during the summer. I don't know if it's the heat, sweat, sun light, or some kind of combination...

Also, eat healthy Health = good looks.

Hope I helped even a little bit.

I went to a nutritionist/homeopathic, and she found out that I was allergic to many foods that I was eating (namely soy and corn). I removed them from my diet, and I put an iodine solution on my breakouts/pustules(cystic). It took about 3 months, but now that it is a year later, I am clear still.

My daughter is having a harder time. She doesn't have acne, but rosacea. Do you flush when you eat things? Is your face really pinky red alot of the time? She went on the same regiment as me (avoid the foods she is allergic to and the iodine solution), but she also has to work on her digestion. Seems she doesn't produce enough HCl in her stomach to help her digest. So she is taking some chloric acid tablets to help her. It has cleared up alot, but she still needs to work on her stress levels (that also contribute to poor digestion).

Dr. Herbert S. Shelton says there is no medications, no pills or herbs that are useful and that they only exist in the imagination of people. The body itself is the cure. Trying to cure a disease is a non-sense. It's the disease that is healing the patient. The diseases don't really exist, only their symptoms, it is not logic trying to stop the healing because it is only the body trying to detoxify.

It is the "disease" that heals the patient, like diarrhea that cleans the intestines, fever dotoxifies the tissues, acne that purify the blood. Acne makes toxins go out of your body by the skin.

So basically don't put any cream, even from natural substances, on your skin that is supposed to have the capacity to block acne. Now, what you need to do is simply find what cause the acne. It may be a food or many foods. Are you vegan? Often it's caused by dairies. But it may be also common allergens like wheat, soy, peanuts, etc. Or excess of saturated fats in your diet, like too much nuts? I'm not a specialist, there may be many causes. Stress too.

Also, there are no foods or superfoods that cure, they only allow the body to fonction normally, so it can be able to heal itself. But the bad foods are poisons, that puts the body in a constant stress and can never fully recover.

I'm You Man is absoloutely correct. Acne is a function of internal pollution - primarily intestinal and lymphatic congestion and constipation which leaves the bloodstream in a constant state of toxicity and auto-intoxication. Only internal cleansing will completely alleviate the problem. The common topical treatments will only be so effective.

Look into colonic irrigation. Get on a healthy vegan mostly raw diet. See my other posts for further information about various detoxification and healthy eating measures. Also, the suggestion to study Shelton's work is right on. Additionally, Get this book from Amazon.com:

Save the bullshit please. Hope you never actually have to deal with a disease.

In addition to my other recommendattions, a good way to begin internal cleansing is with the products at http://www.drnatura.com/.

Also, 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide can be applied to the skin with pure cotton. It will kill bacteria and fungi and open the pores. There are many fine facial masks at health food stores which have bentonite clay and herbal bases. These are the best.

Regards and best wishes,

Richard

Well you're right, I never had to deal with a disease. And if it happens one day, I will be nice with the disease

If you don't believe in the power of the body, you don't believe in energy; and you only trust modern medecine?

There many examples cases of patients that have been told by their doctors after years of chimios "you have less than a year to live" or "less than 2 months", then those persons iwith terminally ill cancer go to the Hyppocrate Institute and after just a few weeks the size of the tumor already starts to decrease and after a few months the cancer is completely gone. There's examples like that for many other "incurable" diseases. It's not the fasting or the living foods that directly healed those patients, but the fact that they stop to consume the poisons that were the cause of their problems, like cigarettes, processed foods, etc.

I forgot to say, acidifying nutrition could cause many problems... perhaps including acne? To alkanize your blood eat more fruits and greens, less of all the rest, espescially processed foods, sugar...

I don't disagree with you about most of that. I DO believe in the healing power of the body, but to say all disease is "detoxification" is just horse shit...

No doubt some things like cancer are largely preventable and treatable diseases, but to group all of them in that category is not right.

How about viral diseases, just detox?

I really agree with the fact that diet can influence acne in a big way. Before I gave up dairy, I had the worse acne. I didn't like going out in public or having my picture taken because it got that bad. It was all over my cheeks and on my chin. I had redness as well. After going vegan, my skin cleared up mostly. Then I discovered that I have an intolerance to gluten, and I stopped eating that to control the gas and bloating and my skin cleared up even more. I also eat a high raw diet, which really helps, and I drink a ton of water.

Oh! Don’t get upset, I think it is problem of every second girl next to you. There are many ways that can help you to cure the disease but a way that suits you and is not one of the scams to cure them should be adopted. It is better to refer to an online guide

For acne treatment that can make you aware of the pros and cons of the different ways and provide you a better solution. This will help you to balance yourself.

All the best!!!

Zack, I guess you're right. Virus infections are the exception. But even those, does it mean that we need pills and other treatments ? Not necessarily, there's a reason why we have an immune system, antigens and white blood cells. Also the bacterias in the intestine flora help to fight food poisonings.

Eventhough the doctors at the Hyppocrate Institute claim there's not a single disease (may it be psychological, viral, etc) that can't be cured by rest (fasting, living foods) I do believe that modern science and medecine can be useful too sometimes. But when this fails, it's good to be able to ralay on the natural healing power of the body. Some cases where the body alone may not be enough: if a person ingest a poison, like cyanure, arsenic, mercury, etc... Some drastic measures need to be taken, to rest and way won't help much. And venom from some animals like snakes. But even in those cases, perhaps ancestral medecine can cure everything, like Indian chaman stuff, or natural medecine that operates in synergy with the body and the blood.

Also, let's not forget the power of the mind:

In a serious documentary that I saw about the power of the spirit/mind on the body, there was a 12 years old boy who had a brain cancer and doctors said that treatments could only help for 1 year maximum and then there would be nothing left to do. It was in the '70's when the movie Star Wars came out and was very popular. The kid healed himself only by visualization: he pictured his antibodies as the ships fighting Darth Vader (the tumor) everyday. The scanners showed that the tumor was reversing day after day and the doctors couldn't believe their eyes. After a few months the boy was completely healed.

The disease can be cured by the mind but can also be created by the mind/brain. Actually it's not created, because nothing is created from scratch, but the brain transform a stress into a disease. Some people believe that each different sources of stress (jalousy, anger, sadness, stress at work or with the family, etc...) each produce a disease in a different and precise organ. It's the mind that creates this disease in order to save the person from a potential future death, by deviating/transforming a psychological distress into a physiological problem. Then the body need to deal with it and hopefully will succeed.

Woody Harrelson had the same acne problems caused by dairies. He stopped by become vegan and raw foodist and now have a raw food restaurant/nightclub.

I would strongly encourage you not to buy into the view some are putting forth that acne is an attempt for the body to 'cleanse' itself in some way. Implying that the disease is some kind of attempt for the body to come back into balance is an inherently flawed viewpoint, as it implies that there is a point of perfect health that every body should, taking all extenuating circumstances away, be able to come back to. In the case of acne there are numerous factors, such as genetics, that are affecting your skin.

I am going to PM you with some suggestions.
