robert Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Today isn't my V-day, the day I became vegan, but today is the day that I gave up meat for good back on December 8th of 1995. I became vegan a few months later. As it were, I was at Whole Foods in Orlando, FL for lunch today and was recognized by 4 people within about 5 minutes and then I scurried out to my car so I could eat lunch in peace. It happens a lot now; something I didn't expect would happen just by becoming vegan but whether it is at an airport, on the plane itself, in a store, or walking down the street, I'm often stopped and recognized for my work as a Vegan Bodybuilder. It amuses me and I find it flattering as a by-product of simply living in line with my value systems and beliefs which involve reducing animal suffering and demanding excellence from myself.
