MartinVegartin
The place is full of corruption. I think it was David Graham (of the FDA's office of drug safety) who said there is a revolving door between the FDA and the drug companies - ex-FDA workers get plum jobs with drug firms and drug firms 'second' their workers to the FDA. If it wasn't him, he has certainly said some scathing things about it. With all the money involved, it's no wonder that these things happen. Im Your Man
These kind of corruptions also occur in other departments of the FDA, like concerning the aprobation of genetically modified foods. The revolving door is present in the FDA, the managers are switching between the FDA, the White House, big lobbies of seeds and biotechnologies like Monsanto and the oil industry leaders like Exxon. Many people at the White House now or were in the Bush administration were in fact also at the FDA and/or Monsanto prior to that. Monsanto is now copyrighting animals too and it's not the FDA who will stop them. Here's some names concerning only the revolving door between government and the pharmaceutical industry. http://www.cptech.org/ip/health/politics/revolvingdoor.html
MartinVegartin
Thanks for that list of people who use their influence to help pharma giles and his friends. I knew about Tauzin, some other congressman and Rumsfeldt. Tauzin and the other congressman were staunch inquisitors of the drug firms. And then they went to work for them.
