jonzen
Dear Forum Members, Another question..... My elbows and knees make "popping" sounds during my reps in lifting or doing squats or whatever. The joints do not hurt in any way. Someone suggested it was probably calcium buildup. Do any of you experience this phenomenon? Shall I worry about it? Is it just one of those things? Talk to me! Thanks in advance, John
loveliberate
Great question John! I do not know why it happens but I also have joints that snap, crackle & pop some (but not all) of the time. My knee's are the worst...
benny boy
Happens to me to...mostly my shoulders, occasionally my knees. In fact it used to happen to my right shoulder when I rolled over in bed even before I started lifting weights again, but does it less now in bed actually, just when I lift it occasionally pops. pelicanAndrew
I don't think that ever happens to me. I'm sure it might and i don't notice. If you're worried about joint damage, glucosamine is where it's at. Just make sure it's not derived from shellfish.
Igor Vovchanchyn
My knees pop. I heard this is due to the knee joint being uneven due to uneven muscle distribution. I am flat footed so it could be that.My arms click more after having lifted heavy weights.
