andgbr
Does anybody here counts their ''daily'' steps? I've never tried doing that, but that seems helpful for people training their legs. And If you do use a pedometer, how many steps do you do everyday??
Tigress
I think the average you are meant to do is 10,000 a day. You just clip it onto your belt (at the side of your body) and away you go. My dog has one and she is meant to do 30,000 steps a day which is impossible considering how lazy she is

runner
it depends what kind of runner you are.. when you are a marathon runner you have way more than a sprinter.. i think that you don't need them if you are a serious runner they are made for people that don't do sports.. if you don't do sports 10.000 is hard to get... guess most people will not make it.. or do you want to use it for your pace frequency? kjtten
I've been using one for more than a year, these days I get 8000-14,000 steps, nearly every day. It's a great way to track activity. Of course, it's not so good for cycling...
Matt
I used to use one in my early training days for marathons when I wanted to know how far I ran. The clicking got really annoying and I always knew the pedometer was there, so I didn't worry so much about exact distance. Later I drove or rode my bike to 'map' the distance when I had regular training routes.
