kjtten
It you keep really careful calorie records, you can see the patterns and know what level you lose at. Not losing at 1700? Try 1600 or 1500 ... I am 5-6 and weigh 136, trying to get to 129. If I average 1700 calories/day, that's homeostasis or a slight upward creep. If I want to lose around .5 pound a week, I need to go to 1400 (or increase activity accordingly). I don't like it much, but you can't argue with data... and when it's YOUR data, you really can't argue So now I'm trying to ACTUALLY eat an average of 1400 cal/day, plus up the exercise a little more.
