offense74
I'm doing the annual officiating test now (am. football). Team A is the team who starts with the ball on a down. NCAA rules. Here's a sample for to think about (freely translated from Swedish): 4 & 6 @ B-40. The punt is touched by the deep kick receiver at B-9 and rolls into the endzone. He recovers the ball and tries to get it back onto the field. While still in the endzone he fumbles the ball and it rolls out to B-3 where it is recovered simultaniously by a team A and a team B player; the player from team A has a foot on the sideline. Team A had only 6 men on the LOS when the snap occured. Down, distance and possession:Clock starts on: snap|stands|rolls|ready for play.Penalties: Another one:4 & 3 @ A-45. Team A are lined up in an illegal formation. B87 receives the punt at B-20 and runs to B-48. During the kick B65 grabs and turns the facemask of A44 at the 50th yardline. After the reception a player from team B blocks a team A player below the waist at B-30. The first half ended during the play. Down, distance and possession:Clock starts on: snap|stands|rolls|ready for play.Penalties: Last one:1 & Goal @ B-3. QB A6 throws a legal forward pass that gets intercepted by a player in team B who returns the ball for a TD. A player in team B blocked a team A player in the back in their own endzone. Down, distance and possession:Clock starts on: snap|stands|rolls|ready for play|Under control by player.Penalties: Have fun

willpeavy
Here's my guesses 1: B gets the ball on the 3 because A recoverer was out of bounds. Offense only needs 5 men on line of scrimmage, so no penalty 2: I think 5 yards against A for illegal formation, 15 yards against B for facemask, and 15 yards against B for the chop block. Give 25 yards in favor of A on the 2nd half kickoff 3: Replay the down, move A halfway to the goal line

finbarrio
Fun. I might be totally wrong, but I'll take a wild guess anyway. 1. Down, distance and possession: Team A, 4 & 11, B-45 (replay down)Clock starts on: snap|stands|rolls|ready for play. snapPenalties: Team A - not enough men on LOS. 2.Down, distance and possession: 1st and 10. Team A has posession at B-35. Clock starts on: snap|stands|rolls|ready for play. snap.Penalties: Team B, personal foul facemask (15yds), blocking below waist (10). Team A illegal formation (5yds).I'm guess no penalties offset because of when they occurred and personal fouls. 3. Down, distance and possession: Team B on the B1, 1st and 10.Clock starts on: snap|stands|rolls|ready for play. snap.Penalties: illegal block on Team B, resulting in ball coming back to point of foul - which was in endzone, so ball on 1yd line.
