  3. At the moment i'm quite fat with my 96kg...very off-season. For the contest it'll probably be less than 80kg... The thing is: never had a real injury from bodybuilding! But once i played football...and what happened? I fucked up my knee... damn... -.- And i've got some probs with my lower back at the moment...sucks!
  4. Thx mate! Actually i do total body workouts for years and years now... the first few years of my training career i did the usual split training. It worked pretty well for me and i built up a lot of muscle mass, but at some point i tried total body workouts and felt quite good with it...so i never really came back to split training. I try to train three times a week, but i always listen to my body concerning recovery... You think my bench press is good?? I think it could be better. But i never was a very good bench presser. At the moment i try to build up some strength in my legs again. I had a really bad injury in july 2011, that almost destroyed my knee. I think it will never be 100% again, but i do my best to build it up again.
  5. well, my weight is 96,4kg at the moment, and my goal is to lose about 1kg each week, for the next 16-18 weeks. i still have to create a concrete meal plan, but as usual the first step for me is to cut all bad food out of my diet. over the weeks and month i'm gonna lower my calories from time to time, depending on my fat loss... for the beginning there'll be no cardio at all, and if everything works fine, i won't do any cardio up to my competition. cardio will only be added if really necessary in the last weeks. so it's all about weight training and diet for me. this was my workout for today: seated calf raise: 20kg x 10 leg press (narrow leg position): 170kg x 10 leg press (wide leg position): 170kg x 9 good mornings (straight leg position): 45kg x 9 seated one leg curl: 25kg x 9 chin ups (overhand grip): bodyweight (96kg) x 8 pull ups (close reverse grip): bodyweight (96kg) x 9 barbell bent over row: 55kg x 11 dumbbell bicep curls: 17,5kg x 11 barbell bench press: 100kg x 8 barbell incline bench press: 90kg x 8 weighted dips: bodyweight (96kg) + 30kg x 8 standing barbell press behind the neck: 50kg x 10 tricep dumbbell kickbacks: 10kg x 10

  8. Well, as i promised, i'm gonna start my journal here and try to update it regularly concerning training and diet, including pictures of my shape... i hope you're all gonna enjoy it! Tonight i'm gonna do a workout, after several days without any training but with lots of food! ;D I'm gonna post my workout later on... Greetings, Arvid
  9. @C.O. thanks a lot! well, probably you're right concerning the term "busy" Alright, I'LL START a log here! Hehe... @VeganDread: you're welcome! your degree of muscle definition is what i need for my competitions! That's what i still have to improve, to completely shock the other guys... ;D
  10. @vegan dread: by the way, i liked your facebook page! You rock! B-) awesome body!
  11. Well, up to now i've always used dream tan, it's quite okay... at the ifbb contests it's forbidden now, but i think nabba and the others still allow it. Yeah man, let's rock the stage! B-)
  12. By the way... you can all vote for me here... ;D https://m.facebook.com/Maenner.mit.Tattoos.sind.geil?id=157541544341606&_rdr#~!/questions.php?question_id=358613790901046&qa_ref=qd&__user=1226660904
  13. It's always a good idea to visit some shows before you compete yourself! By doing this you get some impressions and eventually learn something you can use later on for your own contest.
  14. Hi txtom! Hope your daughter will enjoy her time and have lots of fun! is she also a vegan fitness freak? Greetings from düsseldorf!
  15. Haha! Yeah, i can imagine... ^^ when you go to a tattoo artist, you can always meet some reeeally weird people... Well, if you don't regret it... cool experience! B-)
  16. Alright guys... as soon as i start my preparation, i'm gonna start some kind of log here and try to update it as regular as possible Vegan_rossco, you were a tattoo apprentice?! Nice! Sounda interesting... B-)
  17. I'm not sure if tattoos are explicitly forbidden, but i definitely know that the judges don't like tattoos! Well, bodybuilding is one passion of me, tattoos are the other... ;D have to live with it now. Gotta try to cover them up as good as possible for the competition... that's all i can do. If enough people are interested, i'm gonna post my training and diet progress during the preparation...
  18. Well, i'm always quite busy, but i'll try to start some kind of journal here... At the moment my weight is about 93kg, don't know exactly how much it is pound, sorry Actually i don't have a certain weight in my mind that i want to reach... i stick to the mirror to evaluate my shape and progress. By the time i'll know if i'm ready i just check my weight to see if i'm losing fat. But a look into the mirror is more important for me, since it tells you a lot more than just your body weight...
  19. The dates are not published yet, but it'll be around april/may. Since i'm quite heavy at the moment and wanna take my time, i'll take about four month for my preparation. I wanna get up on stage in a real good shape, since i'm natural and don't have the mass of other competitors... Thx! i'll do my best!
