Mini Forklift
When is your competition, when does your prep start and how long do you have to get ready? Good luck, looks like you'll be starting off from a pretty good base.
Arvid Beck
The dates are not published yet, but it'll be around april/may. Since i'm quite heavy at the moment and wanna take my time, i'll take about four month for my preparation. I wanna get up on stage in a real good shape, since i'm natural and don't have the mass of other competitors...Thx! i'll do my best!
Mini Forklift
You should start up a journal, wouldn't mind following along. What's your bw now and what are you planning on being by the time you hit the stage? Good that you get to enjoy the holiday season first!
Arvid Beck
Well, i'm always quite busy, but i'll try to start some kind of journal here... At the moment my weight is about 93kg, don't know exactly how much it is pound, sorry Actually i don't have a certain weight in my mind that i want to reach... i stick to the mirror to evaluate my shape and progress. By the time i'll know if i'm ready i just check my weight to see if i'm losing fat. But a look into the mirror is more important for me, since it tells you a lot more than just your body weight... vegan_rossco
Are there rules about covering tattoos when competing in bodybuilding? That's a really cool chest piece matey I've got a full sleeve and some other bits and bobs! Agree with mf on making a training log I would enjoy to follow it, take care man
Arvid Beck
I'm not sure if tattoos are explicitly forbidden, but i definitely know that the judges don't like tattoos! Well, bodybuilding is one passion of me, tattoos are the other... ;D have to live with it now. Gotta try to cover them up as good as possible for the competition... that's all i can do.If enough people are interested, i'm gonna post my training and diet progress during the preparation... vegan_rossco
Yeah that's what I thought, although as a type of beauty contest I thought tattoos would get you more marks as they're so cool ahha, I used to be a tattoo apprentice, best year of my life! I'll definitely be interested in your training and diet bud
Mini Forklift
If enough people are interested, i'm gonna post my training and diet progress during the preparation...It's a really useful tool to have a log in here, both from a motivational view as well as having people chiming in with their ideas and constructive feedback. Take a look through some of the logs on here that are regularly updated ~ generally the more active you are you'll probably find people will check in on what you're doing
Arvid Beck
Alright guys... as soon as i start my preparation, i'm gonna start some kind of log here and try to update it as regular as possible Vegan_rossco, you were a tattoo apprentice?! Synny667
Can't wait to see progress pics! Natural shows for next year are already starting to get posted around my gym so looking forward to going to the shows and studying what judges like and picking up tips for routines. Arvid Beck
It's always a good idea to visit some shows before you compete yourself! By doing this you get some impressions and eventually learn something you can use later on for your own contest.
Synny667
I love going to shows. I usually only go if a friend is competing so I can cheer them on but yeah I also go to learn the poses and turns
nonipwr
Use Dream Tan, it covers tattoos pretty good, but unless it takes away from your definition, it should no be a problem. All the best man lets rock next year.
Arvid Beck
Well, up to now i've always used dream tan, it's quite okay... at the ifbb contests it's forbidden now, but i think nabba and the others still allow it. Yeah man, let's rock the stage! B-)
