Found out they're doing Wilkes formula instead of weight classes, so I'll drop a little and will probably be somewhere around 142lb. Goals are a 236.5 bench and a 429 deadlift, looking forward to it. This is from my last heavy bench session a few days ago, I'm now a little under a week away from my push/pull meet. Should give me a good indicator of how I'm tracking towards the Canterbury Champs which are in mid-April http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GT0LiJgaVpU I decided to include all of the 10 sets on the bench, worked up to 236.5. I also spent a little time talking you through my pre & post WO meals. I also did 6 sets of conventional deadlifts after the benching (didn't video these), worked up to a comfortable 418lb. Planning to compete this Friday at about 142-143. My support guy will video it, I'll edit it all together over the weekend and post it up for you guys. Looking forward to it !! Mini Forklift Posted February 24, 2012 Author Share Posted February 24, 2012 Didn't go the way I wanted, I wasn't feeling 100% all day yesterday and felt flat and light-headed come the evening. Had to fight for a 105kg/236.5lb bench (missed 107.5) then couldn't hit any of my DL's (even warming up with them felt rough). Just one of those nights ~ never expected to struggle with the DL's as they're usually my strongest ?! My plan was to get that, get 195 on my second lift and probably call it a day after that one. I was hitting 195 in training and 200 pulling off a couple of plates.
