Kathryn
Sounds scary! Could you be lacking Vitamin D? Minerals that are necessary for good bone formation?

offense74
I don't think it's vitamin D. Since the summer you got a bunch stored up. I think it's coincidence. You're healthier and eat mor diverse than most people so I wouldn't start to worry until your eyes starts bleeding. Stop whining

Guest
I think maybe its calcium...eat more greens...as much as you can stomach...I serously doubt you've gotta worry about vitamin D since you spend so much time out in the sun. As for the toes...people break them all the time when they stub them...it hurts and most people don't think about it but they often fracture them...if you take care of it it should be healed enough in no more than two weeks...the toes in your bones are much smaller than you think...as for the back problems maybe its those shoes that are finally kicking in

Attila
Maybe you train too much??? Relax your bones for a while...
Daywalker
It's funny that even though we know a balanced vegan diet is very healthy, we're so brainwashed that everytime a vegan has some kind of symptom or ailment we feel it must be a malnutrition. There are other causes of symptoms than only bad nutrition - otherwise there would be no doctors, only nutritionists Of course diet is a main factor for health, but not the only one. I'd say go to a doctor and have your blood checked, then you know if something's wrong.Otherwise, i agree with Attila, overtraining can be a cause of fractures, too. pelicanAndrew
Sounds to me like you just got unlucky. I was freaky out the first couple of weeks because i thought veganism was makign me constipated. Then i realized it was just too much soy and i was on vicodine which apparently messes up your bowel movements.
