loveliberate
I was drinking water & lemon-ginger tea + drink-eating chocolate Vega. Madre, Rogue is based here in Oregon with brewpubs all over the place, including here in Portland. I believe their original or main location is in Newport, OR - just south of Lincoln City. Tigris, It's a plant called "African Red Bush" - tasty stuff! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooibos
veganmadre
I had two rootbeers. When at Lehman's this weekend, we bought syrup to make homemade orange and root beer sodas! I have to buy 2 liters of another soda first so that I can use the empty bottles for the "brewing". I'm excited!
Zack
I'm drinking fresh apple juice, thanks much!

Tigris, It's a plant called "African Red Bush" - tasty stuff! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooibos I pointed that out to Michael just yesterday - that Rogue is an OR brew. I haven't had many Rogue's. I've only been drinking alcohol for a total of 1 year of my life and there are just too many microbrews to try! But, given how much I like this chipotle ale, I'll have to try some other varieties, too - and soon! I'll be too poor this summer for anything other than a rare "home brew". Perhaps even too poor for that! And Rooibos is the best tea, ever! It's essentially the only tea that I really really like. With the exception of some gypsy cold care mixed with Orange EmergenC. Don't knock it til you've tried it!
cubby2112
I looked at the wikipedia page for rooibos and saw that there is something called 'red espresso' and was intrigued. I really wanna try this stuff. It is rooibos tea concentrated like an espresso. There are also rooibos lattes and cappuccinos for those who enjoy those.http://www.redespresso.com/
michaelhobson
I honestly like PBR. PBR, corona, and the ruby that Mcmenamins does up here are my 3 favorites. Whatever the movie theater subbed was too dark Aye, there are a few things to be avoided in beers. 1) You can see light through it.2) It comes in a can.3) It is sold in convenience stores.4) It is available in 40 ounce bottles.5) It's not thick enough to chew. Alright, I'd still drink with you anyway.
michaelhobson
Be it beer, wine, liqour, coffee, tea or some healthier dram. What are you drinking tonight? For me it's:http://www.ratebeer.com/beerimages/7429.jpg Likely to follow with some Gree Rooibos tea before bed. http://www.specialteas.com/images/catalog/large/754.jpg Same thing tonight, only reverse order. http://www.specialteas.com/images/catalog/large/754.jpg http://www.ratebeer.com/beerimages/7429.jpg
Tarz
Whats rooibos tea ? Is that just the brand name ?Rooibos/Redbush tea is a South African tea, very high in antioxidants, apparently even better for you than Green Tea. I love it and drink it instead of normal black tea all the time now. It tastes good and is very soothing/relaxing. Look out for Tick Tock, Redbush, DragonFly and Equal Exchange brands. There's a brand called Vital which I do not like. You can get it in most supermarkets now, not just health food shops. About twice as expensive as normal tea, although Tetley do a variety mixed with Vanilla very cheap.
Tigress
Thanks for that. I gave up drinking tea when I became vegan I have seen redbush varieties in sainsburys though so may check them out
Tarz
Yeah, definately check it out, as veganmadre said it's the best tea there is. Anywayz, I'm drinking Green Pumpkin juice - I get it from the oriental vegan buffets which are dotted around London.
veganmadre
This morning I'm drinking coffee with vegan nondairy creamerand evaporated cane juice. I've also had about 1/2 bottle of "Defense" Vitamin Water. http://69.20.35.124/images/reviews/glaceauvitamin/glaceau-defense.jpg

michaelhobson
I love it and drink it instead of normal black tea all the time now. It tastes good and is very soothing/relaxing. Tarz is not kidding when he says he drinks it "all the time". The man does love his tea. Of course, it doesn't come before his first love the SUN. I'm drinking Organic Formosa Oolong tonight, more bulk tea that I picked up in Amish country last weekend. I really enjoy seeing my tea, rather than having it in a tea bag. All of the different bits of plant parts are interesting and give more of a connected to the earth sort of feeling. Damned hippie me!
robert
I'm about to make a Vega Smoothie Infusion. So I'll have some smoothie, a bunch of water later, maybe a bit of orange juice and other fruit juices. Gotta go get that smoothie made now...... Guest
Mate has a lot more antioxidants than any tea...it blows all teas out of the water if you drink it in the traditional manner...personally I like to spike my smoothies with it and I can't wait to do that with some smoothie infusion
