robert
Hairspray the movie is awesome! I think it comes out on Friday but there was a special pre-release screening today in Portland that lotus, LizWorld and I went to. Thanks to loveliberate for the awesome free passes too! LizWorld appreciated the extra security we had there Welcome to America! Anyway, this is a super awesome upbeat, high energy, feel good movie! I suggest anyone who is interested in movies, musicals, dancing or into the main actors to go see it! robert
It was really fun! It was probably the most fun I've had in the movie theatre in a long time. The trailer could have been a lot better in my opinion, but the actual movie is awesome. I'm sure I'll see it again soon.

ronnie kray
have you all seen the original Hairspray? it also had a great cast, starring Ricki Lake, Debbie Harry, Sonny Bono, and the one and only Divine? i don't know how close this is to the 1988 version. i will probably see it and check it out. it is probably John Waters most toned down and mainstream movie, as he is better known for the bizarre and twisted movies, like the infamous Pink Flamingos. lotus
The new one is a bit diffferent than the new one but still good. I was excited when Rikki Lake makes a guest appearance at the end!
