chesty leroux Posted December 18, 2007 Share Posted December 18, 2007 My year of Meats by Ruth Ozeki This book is sortof a chick book, about two women on opposite sides of the planet. One is a japanese american television producer and the other is japanese housewife. Anyways in the process of making a television show for a japanese network called My American Wife, which is sponsored by a meat industry called Beef-EX, the Tv producer character discovers the horrors of the meat industry. It's mild compared to the AR stuff that I am sure all of us have read, but definately a good book for your mom of for your friends to give them a little heads up about factory farming and drugs in meat, but with a great chick narrative.
