i followed wolfe around for 2 years until i realized i, and everyone with me was rapidly deteriorating... if yer serious about raw i recommend you read dr. graham (specifically 80-10-10 book) at foodnsport.com.
consider evaluating both authors to determine what would be best for you...
congratulations on your interest in healthier living.

Humans have a generalized diet. Ie, NOT SPECIALIZED/specific. So really, we can survive (and thrive) on just about anything.
opinion or fact? haha

i went fruity before i knew what a vegan was and being a big meat head making fun of rabbit food eating vegetarians. i never heard about it i just tasted some fruit when i was chronically dehydrated and said, "wow this is so good, so hydrating, i can tell my body needs it. i bet i could live off of it" - lightbulb!, and now its been almost 3 years...
i think its been easy for me because a) no one told me i couldn't and b) it was my own realization and original idea - not something someone told me i should do...
point is, limitations only work if you buy in to 'em.
-
now 100% is something that you can't do immediately. you must work toward 100% as your goal.
boo! let's not push your own limitations on other people
-
they say that because half the raw community is horribly terrified of fruit and sugar, and the higher glycemic load foods - but they consume a diet of 60-80% calories from fat, mixing that with high sugar foods causes havoc, candida, etc.
two choices in going raw, go high fat, low/no carb... or high carb, low fat...
-
diet is important but it's certainly not the cure all. other things like exercise, fresh air, lots of sunshine, etc are just as important. also not all raw foods are created equal... if it tastes like, digests like, causes you to go comatose like cooked junk food than it might as well be... even if it says RAW on it.
fresh is best.
then yes some amazing things happen...

there is a big difference between mono meals and a mono day. if you ate mono meals but had 8 meals per day and ate seasonally.. that seems like an opportunity for some crazy variety over a year.
i grew up having a set dinner depending on the day of the week. fish sticks every monday and pepperoni pizza every friday, cherrios for breakfast everyday, etc. where was my variety?
-
i am lazy. i <3 mono-meals.

Gorilla, are you able to determine if the extra size is added fat, water retention, etc inevitable from the salt and condensed calories in cooked foods - or is there a true flaw in your previous, high fruit diet? thanks.

i just got this one and have been really enjoying it! my first mtb - 120 miles clocked on the computer already - about half and half mtb and street...

you probably already have a set, just cut up and try and get around 6-9% body fat and they will pop right out to greet you!
-
hrmmmnnn! intriguing!
*as seand strokes his long white Kill Bill/Pai Mei style beard*

don't forget to add 1% insects! haha just kidding
for me decreasing my fat (actually pretty much eliminating overt fat) and mono eating (like chimps i guess) made all the difference - good luck with it and keep us posted!

excess salt or high fat does it to me...

hey robert thank you very much for this... do you think the anatomy and other things you had to learn for massage helped you in other ways like your body building? from what i understand its really detailed education.

i have been recently thinking about leaving my computer job for something that won't require me to stare at this screen for 12-16 hours per day.
robert i noticed your testimony on the massage school's website that i was considering attending! (except the one in las vegas) i want something thats flexible and relaxed but fun and helping people, yet i still have to be able to support my family (no kids yet).
i already dropped out of university once and i don't really want to go back - most of my graduated buddies are flippin' burgers or making minimum wage and i don't want to spend another 3-4 years in school!
can you give me any advice and tell me if you would do it all over again? what kind of realistic money can be made, freshly certificated? any pros and cons? do men have a really tough time making it in this business?
i heard the MTs at bellagio make like $150k-$200k per year but that might just be hype! i don't need that kind of money just enough to live a modest life!
thanks!

Your not gonna get fat eating just fruit unless you scarf down 5 bananas before you go to bed every day for a couple weeks
i can personally vouch that even this won't make you fat - except it was more like 15 each night
-
try it for yourself for 30 days and don't listen to anyone else... what's the worst that could happen?
then share

my question is similar... i just recently got a mountain bike (specialized stumpy fsr comp) and am wondering if i can use this for long street riding and training or do i need to buy another bike specifically for the street? thanks!

ever consider that some of us here simply don't desire or crave meat, instead of requiring self discipline at all?
Feel tired advices please!
