  1. Weighed myself Saturday, down 1 pound. At least it's going down. I think I'm back on track with my eating though, so that's good.

Saturday I took a Zumba class, went to Whole Foods, and then went to an art festival near where I live. Then I walked around for an hour than walked about 2 miles or so home. It's hot again too!

    Sunday:

Step class was great sweated buckets- same goes for Body Pump

By the end of Body Pump I felt like falling to the ground, I was spent, but in a good way.

830am- oatmeal which took forever to cook, banana, coffee

1230pm half a chocolate mint clif bar

    2pm- half clif bar

6pm- lots of whole wheat pasta w/ marinara sauce and vegan crumbles, whole wheat garlic toast

930pm- cereal- purely O's organic oat cereal, w/ rice milk

  2. Tuesday

Drunken Monkey- coffee, vegan coffee cake (way too sugary) 1/2 an oatmeal fruit/ nut bar

Found out Brendan Brazier was speaking tonight so changed plans to go hear him.

I am glad I did! He's an awesome guy, and full of knowledge. Learned a lot. I had to wear my Vega shirt of course!

    Wednesday-

9am- run- about 2 miles- no time for a longer run

945am- banana, coffee, berry almond luna bar

1pm- vegan chicken patties, hummus, carrots, water

4pm- bagel w/ vegan cream cheese, coffee

    9pm- 2 burritos

Had a bad eating day was super busy, and stressed

  3. Busy week! Don't remember what I've exactly been eating, although it's pretty much the same boring food i usually eat.

Thursday- Moved boxes, and loaded and unloaded U-Haul in under three hours. lot's of lifting, squatting, stepping up on, and off truck, carrying boxes etc. I have the bruises to prove it.

    Friday-

Got dropped off at my empty apartment- and quickly finished cleaning.

9am-walked 1 mile to where my mom works, walking my bike with its flat tires

    Breakfast- coffee, luna bar

1130am- walked back to apartment to hand in keys, and get my security deposit back

1215pm- walked again to where my mom works

Saturday- weighed myself after eating tons of cookies from my party I only gained 1 pound I was quite grateful it wasn't 5 pounds

    930am- Zumba

Drunken Monkey- vegan breakfast burrito, vegan scone, coffee

walked a lot this afternoon at an art festival a friend told me about

then walked back probably about 2 miles to my new location w/family

    Sunday- Step, and Body Pump

BP was a new release, and I quite agreed w/ instructor harder than the past few releases. Lets just say the lunges got my glutes, and the shoulder track just about left me trembling. That's how the workout went.

    Monday-

9am- run YEAH!! only about 2 miles, time limitations in the morning

My glutes were really feeling it in the run.

    945- banana, coffee, luna bar

1pm- falaffel, hummus, couscous- very very filling

    730pm- big salad

    10pm- herbal tea

  4. I think stretching can be good, but after your workout, unless it's just some rhyhmic limbering to get the blodd flowing. From my experience working at agym, I am not a great fan of Yoga. It is good, but I really don't think I will ever need to put my legs behind my ears. Most of the injuries that people have told me about, and mine included have been from over stretching. My worst injury, and pretty much the only one I ever had at the gym was from a Yoga instructor forcing pushing me into a deeper Downward dog position. She pushed on my back, and it hurt in a bad way for about two weeks.

Even without Yoga though I can bend over touch the ground with my hands, reach past my toes in a hamstring stretch, and fell like I am pretty flexible.

  5. Body Pump is an awesome workout! You've got to try it. Almost every time I take a class I am sore all over the next day, and sometimes the day after. It is a great strength endurance class. It's not easy holding a 50 pound barbell for up 3-5 minutes while squatting the entire time. Same goes for all the other muscle groups. Shoulders give me the most trouble, mainly with the shoulder presses. But I love the burn! LOL.

  6. 730am- berry almond luna bar, coffee

    930am- grapes, water

    1030am- cereal w/ rice milk

    2pm- 2 Yves burgers

530pm-Step class 45 minutes cardio, 5 minutes abdominal training, 5 minutes stretch

630pm- Body Pump 55 min. (barbell strength endurance class)

warmup, squats, chest, back, triceps, biceps, lunges, shoulders, abs, stretch

    8pm- Gardein meal, mixed vegetables

finished my vegan treats with the help of a friend- no more junk! Yeah!!!!

  7. It feels a bit weird going to the Y now that I don't work there, but I'm sure that this feeling will go away soon.

Had an awesome Step class, and then an equally awesome Body Pump class which basically beat me up, and then spit me out. I felt like it was one of my first times in the class. I'm quite exhausted for feminine reasons but I did keep my weights the same as I usually do. I have not taken a BP class in over a month I think. The chest track was excruciating, and the back wasn't that much better. I loved every minute of it though,

Today I am totally sore all over!!!!

  8. Saturday-

Weighed myself; same this week, but I ate cookies yesterday that I got for my party, and I'm bloated and have cramps, need I say more.

    9am- banana

930am- Zumba dance class ( I'm finding my rhythm)

1030am- cinnamon raisin bagel w/ vegan cream cheese, coffee @ Drunken Monkey

ate a few cookies while I packed some boxes this afternoon

    2pm- salald

    7pm- Amy's Enchilada meal

    Sunday

    745am- oatmeal w/ banana, coffee

    12pm- banana

    215pm- banana

430pm- Amy's Quarter pounder, hummus, celery, mixed vegetables

  9. Welcome to the group. Follow Your Heart Vegan cheese is my favorite, I especially like the Monterey Jack flavor. There are lots of soy yogurts out there, I prefer Silk's soy yogurt. You just have to experiment with the different brands and you'll find one that you prefer.
