  1. It is getting a lot of press, which I think is great. It's important to get people talking about the cancer risks from meat and this is a good way to start that dialogue. Too many people erroneously feel that eating meat is to the benefit of their health, not the detriment.
  2. There is a University of Chicago study that backs up the UN report, actually. Everyone uses the UN study, but there are definitely more out there.
  3. Thank you so much, Hilary and Robert. Hil, that was some fast editing!
  4. Thanks for all the welcome messages! I had the pleasure of meeting Robert at AR this year and I blogged about him on my site. Follow the link in my signature for a fun pic of the two of us.
  5. I live in Nashville AND I'm old enough to know who she is! Yep, Robert had a big old tag hanging from his hat. Good times.
  6. Hilary - I totally understand. No worries. Steve - Thank you and thank you! Did we meet at AR? Just checked out your blog. Good stuff!
  7. Good for you! FatFreeVegan.com has a lot of recipes that do that too. My only problem with rice milk is the oil in it. I've been using oat milk as of late, but even that has Carageenan (sp?), which I've heard is not too good...
  8. Another vote for Veganomicon. I absolutely love it. I like that is has everything from how to steam and roast vegetables to some pretty gourmet stuff. I think it's great for anyone.
  9. Awesome. I love reading/hearing stories like yours!

  11. Best of luck to you! I may have to make the drive from Nashville to come and try it!
  12. Hilary, I absolutely love this video! I posted it in my most recent blog and I've sent it to a bunch of friends. Can't wait to see the rest!
  13. Hi all. I registered here a while ago, but I don't think I ever posted! My name is Yvonne and I live in Nashville, but I'm originally from Nothern California. I have been vegetarian for about 16 years and vegan for a little over 2 years. I strength train 2-3 times a week, run, do yoga and just generally try to stay active. Looking forward to spending more time on these boards, especially after seeing Robert's movie! Very inspiring.
