Rex
I usually buy frozen vegetables like the bags from Costco, Sam's but I was wondering if the have the some proteins as the fresh ones. I hope someone can help.
xveganpetex
When you freeze something, the structure changes a little. The amino structure will change greatly when you cook them. So, unless you are gonna let them thaw naturally...you'll lose a lot.
Kathryn
As far as I know, protein isn't affected that much by heating or freezing. Frozen foods can be a good option when fresh isn't available, but fresh is best (followed by low-temperature dehydrated). In fact, frozen (fresh frozen right after harvest) might be more nutritious than 'fresh' foods that are picked early, shipped and long way, and have spent a lot of time in transit and on store shelves losing vitamins. kurtjs
I'll be honest . . . i just buy the 16 oz. bags, throw one or two in the fridge, let it defrost for a day or two, and consume. It's so easy . . . you just gotta remember to keep taking a bag or two out of the freezer or else you're in a bind.
HealthyElijah
Both are good. Eat lots of both. When you cook a vegetable some of the nutrients actually increase in bioavailabilty. Eat lots of Raw and Cooked.
