Mina
I would love a Vitamixer but cannot afford it at this time. I would like to start blending veggies into smoothie, like kale and the likes, rather than juicing, but I have no idea what kind of blender is good enough for the job. What do you guys use? And my apologies if this thread exists already. I did a search and my app must be broke because it found nothing.
beforewisdom
I don't drink smoothies myself otherwise I would answer your question. Your question is a standard topic on every vegan forum. If you used the search that comes with this forum, I'm sure you would find more than a few threads. If you went to Google, you would probably find professional reviews as well.....not to mention amazon.
Fallen_Horse
Can you afford a refurb Vitamix? It's $380 and they sometimes have specials for free shipping. I have had mine for 2 years and it's going strong. I searched around before I purchased it. There really isn't anything like a Vitamix/Blentec.... Mina
Can you afford a refurb Vitamix? I cannot at this time, but thank you for answering my question despite its redundancy. I hadn't considered that as an option =) Off to browse the forums some more.
Synny667
I use a cheap back to basic smoothie jr blender. I just put my kale, spinach and parsley in first with the liquid and let it grind up then add my fresh fruit and let it go for until it looks good. Mina
Thanks! See, I've seen some for like $20 and others for $100, and I don't know why I'm tarding out about this... I am willing to put some cash into it but not if it will just break down on me. I'm not familiar with all these brands in the USA.
lobsteriffic
I've heard the Ninja is pretty good for folks on a budget. Apparently it can make decent green smoothies. I have a Black & Decker one right now which is just okay...if/when it dies I'll probably look into a Ninja.
Synny667
I have had my blender for about 10 yrs now. The blades are getting dull but as long as it still works I am good. Next one will be probably a lil more expensive or possibly just a juicer
