JW
We measure temperature by wind chill here.(The combination of wind and air temperature makes it feel like X degrees outside) Tonight it's going to hit minus 40 degrees!!!!My eyes were sore from walking from the parking lot this morning. The wind just cuts through your clothing (I've always found that the thighs are most vulnerable..... unless you wear long underwear.) bbbbrrrrrrrrr! No worries We use metric in Canada too but I was taught imperial when I was a kid.I feel pretty much equally adept at both systems now but kids are all taught metric only in school. Guest
Keep your darn canadian air...its supposed to make its way to the mid west soon...then to the mid-atlantic and I don't want it to interfere with my warm weather cycling. Yesterday was the first day of the year that was cold for me but it was still quite pleasant...I don't want it any worse than that.
pelicanAndrew
It has invaded the midwest. I have to wear layers now, thanks.

OMG!!!!! It is unbelievable this morning!!!! Air temp is -36 degreeswindchill is -48 degrees School buses are not running today.School patrols will not be working.Heard on the radio this morning that one of the DJ's tried plugging in his car this morning and the cord snapped off in his hand! Sometimes I have to wonder why I live here The strange thing is that it is scorching hot in the summer here. We have one of the largest temperature variations in the world. I think there is a place in Russia that is around the same.
