xjonfastx
Ishmael by Daniel Quinn is a pretty good book. It doesn't really talk about veganism, just about the toll the earth is paying for the way our type of societies live. Most of you, if not all, are aware of the ideas and theories presented in the book. Its still pretty interesting stuff.

xdarthveganx
Once people have read Ishmael I encourage them to take the concepts presented within Ishmael a few steps further with a few books by Jensen and Zerzan End Game - volumes 1 and 2 by Derrik JensenAgainst Civilization and Running on Emptiness John Zerzan
lotus
Ishmael is very thought provoking. I also enjoy what Derek Jensen has to say.
JackinForSweets
The book Ishmael inspired my late-husband so much that we named our dog after it! Ishmael the American Pit Bull Terrier is sitting next to me while I read posts on this forum so I must mention that he is super handsome!
CountAgranoff
Quinn Wrote Story of B a quasi-sequel to ishmael that is quite a bit better if you ask me. As novels they are not that great as books they are cool. In other words if it were not for nthe concepts put forward there is not much story there. Before reading Story of B I thought Humans were evil, after I saw that it was not that humans are inheritly evil it is a result of our "Culture" that teaches us to behave the way we do. -David
dontxhide
Out of all the spiritual successors of Ishmael Quinn has written, My Ishmael is my favorite. Ishmael opened my eyes. The Story of B made me angry. My Ishmael amazed me in ways, after reading this book my life just about fell into place on what I want my goals to be. Amazing books!
