Your sister's wedding dress is very elegant. I like it.

SO does she realize that because of her, so many other people went vegan too (i.e. she inspired you, and you, in turn, have inspired countless others, and look how many animals have NOT been eaten as a result).

is that the brother that is vegan or is not vegan?

Does Tanya ever visit this site or the message boards?

Sso remind me again how much your sis loves animals.

Oh ya, and the long hair (like in the wedding pic) and the scruff really suits you Rob.

Ash,

You got to get near a lion cub? That's awesome, but he looks like he isnt free (obviously if you were able to get close). Where was that pic?

It was when I lived in Africa, and at a game reserve, which is basically preserved land for all the African wildlife. Sortof like a national park here. They are enormous, sometimes crossing into more than one country, and they're enclosed. The cubs are not in the pens all the time, and basically they are just trying to preserve them...There are alot of lions on that particular reserve and im sure youve heard how the males like to eat babies that arent their own...

You MUST give me more details on what it was like to pet that lil lion cub. Did he ever hiss at you, paw at you? Can any old human just walk up to him and say "what's up?" without him getting defensive and scared, and threatening to eat you?

I would love love love to experience all animals, on their own turf -- not in the freakin "Toronto zoo" or Ringling Brothers circus.

Tell me more about the cub -- what was his name? Where is his mommy?

and I never associated anything positive with the word "game" before. I always thought that it had to do with hunting and thus . Guess I was wrong

He was pretty indifferent to my presence. They're big cats what can I say. Even at that age they can hurt you pretty bad too. But seriously, just like cats, they'll play a bit, they'll enjoy being petted, and then decide theyre done with you and bite you. It's a very humbling experience to be in the presence of animals like that. Not just the lions, all the african animals I was able to see in their natural environment. the cub handlers are really carefull as well, only one person can be in there with them at a time, and for a very short time. And my sisters shoe fell in and they ate it.

Back from Kenya!

Here's a picture of me feeding a giraffe with pellets. This type of giraffe is/was endagered so they breed them at this place (just outside Nairobi) and then put them out in nature.

That is the coolest pic ever!! I love it!!

Lemme tell you, the giraffes were awesome I saw alot of them out in the wild (on the safaris). Other favourites were the baboons, the warthogs and the leopard.

The zebras, buffalos and all the different antilopes were so many that I almost didn't turn my head during the last safaris (except for the dik-dik antilopes who are sooooo cute).
