  1. Apologies if Im wrong, but I think you might have missunderstood the exercise. You are not supposed to have the arms straight out from the body, but hanging down, just like in the lockout possition of a deadlift. Yeah I've got the idea now, but thanks.
  2. Oh I did it today underhand....as if you did it overhand it would be a reverse wrist curl! It was tough! Oh hang on I just re-read your suggested exercise you mean standing, I did it sitting with my forearms rested on my legs. I will try standing next time, not sure I will be able to do it with 20kg to be honest.

  4. I think I read the other day that love handles are to do with where you body stores fat (which is to do with genetics). I assume that if you reduce your body fat that they would reduce, but I also remember reading that often the waist/belly is the last place to lose fat. I seem to store fat in a little bulge at the base of my stomach and on my lower back. I took a break when I was sick to try and get better.

  9. Sadly not I don't have the technology. I am not getting low enough still though I don't think. But I am working on it (hence not changing the weight). I am thinking I may drop the weight a little and really push to get lower in the squat.

  11. why change my routine? To stop boredom/it becoming too mundane...and because I thought it was good practice to change things around every 6 weeks or so. I do 5 sets on each exercise, 2 warm up sets. Then 3 sets of ideally 6 reps (although I sometimes don't make the full 6). Sometimes I will lift 3 x 8 reps which usually means it is time to up the weight. I basically do, do full body routines (chest, shoulders, back, legs, arms, abs). Just 2 different routines currently to keep it varied.
  12. Okay that makes sense...what exercises are there for grip? I'll have a go at Powercleans, it is getting under the bar I think I have a problem with.
  13. I don't know why I have two days to be honest. What do you mean by "grip work"? Got a web link for how to do a powerclean? Why chins twice and no dips?
  14. Right current thinking for a new programme; Day 1. Chest press Dumbbell Shoulder Press Bent Over Row Tricep/Bicep exercise as before but switching to dumbbell curls and changing my grip for skullcrushers I think. Calf Raises Incline Crunches Leg-hip raises Day 2: Squats Chest dips Upright Row Seated Row Tricep/Bicep exercise as before. Incline Crunches Leg-hip raises Comments?

This could work but what about the event where all ugly people that get tired of being single...all decide to date eachother...honestly I've found a lot of attractive people are single more often than not because they can either afford to be picky or they get sick of being hit on all the time(rare with men thinking this way though) The single folk on this website are clearly proof of this! (did I mention I was single )
  17. Just got my house mate to take my photos (which was odd in itself). ...I appear to have a very weird and asymmetrical muscle structure! Plus very skinny legs, even though I do work them out!!
  18. So it is coming up to the point where I need to change my programme again...any advice/suggestions? I am currently doing a two day split. Day 1: Bench Press Deadlift Tricep Extension/Skullcrushers or Bicep Curls Calf Raises Incline Crunchs V-Ups Day 2: Squats Chin ups Dips Military Press Tricep Extension/Skullcrushers or Bicep Curls Incline Crunchs V-Ups The arm exercises I do in rotation, i.e Day 1: Tricep Extensions, Day 2: Skullcrushers, Day 3: Bicep Curls, Day 4 back to Tricep Extensions etc.

  20. No one at my gym really stands around chatting...you get the odd group of guys who know each other in the free weights area sometimes. But then they usually get back to it pretty quick. The staff don't talk to me (ever!) and the only time I have contact with other people is asking if I can swap in on stuff or on the odd occasion someone has thought I was going to drop the bar and spotted for me. (usually unnecessarily) The music is shit that they pump out the gym tannoy though...might get myself an ipod shuffle or something.

  23. 20/12/06 So....I was sick and full of snot for a week and a bit so didn't go to the gym. First day back and I am pleased I haven't slipped backwards I don't think.   24. I bit the bullet and took the drugs. I also had some therapy. They worked for me. I will be off them fully in 3 weeks...so then we shall see...
