  1. Good point..I live in Spain and it would be impossible here at the moment. I live in Cordoba and to my knowledge, and I involve myself in and run a lot of AR activities in the area, there are only 2 other vegans in the whole of the city (thanks to me;-)) and neither of them are interested in bodybuilding. Also here in Spain, even most "vegeterians" eat a bit of "jamon" from time to time or "fish"...they are really way behind the USA and most other places in europe in many aspects, but maybe in 5 years time, who knows!
  2. Well I live in Cordoba, Spain too and there's no way of getting hemp protein or pea protein over here..well not unless you want to pay in excess of 60 euros for 750grms!! Believe me..i spent weeks scouring the net!! I've found a site in the Uk which ships out organic pea protein and 15 kilos costs around 120 euros, postage included. I spoke to some guys from my gym and got them to order a few kilos each and it worked out really cheaply. You can get soy protein delivered within 24 hours in Spain for about 22 euros a kilo but I used it for about 3 months and wasnt at all happy with the effects. Hemp protein is more expensive to get sent over, but some of the "herboristerias" have organic hemp seeds at around 4 euros a kilo so you can grind your own if you are really set on using hemp. Persoanlly i dont mind the taste and blend it up with kiwi (which already have that gritty seedy thing going off) and orange juice. Have to chew the last mouthful but its not a bad flavour!
  3. Ok..so this is a smoothie for beginners! Even my daughter loves this and we all know what kids are like! Ingredients: Juice 3 oranges 2 peeled kiwis 2 cups of spinach Now blend it all together..if you are doing it for first time smoothie drinkers you could add less spinach. I also add some spirulina
  4. Probably..but not as bad I'm sure..although they did want to charge me 35 pounds for sending 3 months supply of taurine over! well, I'll check it out..let u know how i get on .. Oh god! This stuff is SO cheap! If anyone wants to check it out the prices are here: http://www.bulkpowders.co.uk/product.php/272/18/super_pea_protein_isolate I've written to ask them how much delivery is on 10kg..that should keep me going for a while..thanks again!

  6. Yeah, I definitely have to agree with you on that one. I tried working out less often as I was trying out the HIT system, but my body started changing of that into a "strongman" and NOT of an asthetically pleasing, lean body builder! I was algo getting fatter despite suffering like hell after a workout AND eating a good diet! So then I tried long cardio workouts, with 30 seconds high intensity and 1 min low intensity.. that didn't work either, nothing changed! So then I tried the traditional method of deviding the body into muscle groups and doing 3 sets of each exercise, low reps to failure, drop sets etc, and that was slightly better but still not what i wanted, I still had too much body fat!!!(I think I should go easy on the nuts from now on). And all that time suffering so much from muscle pain!! Sometimes I couldn't even sleeeeep because however I lay, it ached like hell, and NO-ONE could touch me! !! So now, I'm working out with moderate weights, as often as I can, but for no more that 40 min a day. I'm using quite high intensity but dont work to failure because if I work to failure, the long recovery time doesnt allow me to work out often. I think working out often is the key to loosing weight and building muscle because i seem to be doing both at once with my present routine Also, something else about working out, if you are a complete addict like me, HIT and other methods which don't allow you to work out very often will kill you! What wouldl you do if you could only go to the gym twice a week??¿?¿? Ufff!!! These short intense workouts are much more "mentally" satisfying and help keep you sane as well as being effective.
  7. Yeah? Do you know of any companies that can ship stuff out to spain cheaply? The last time I paid more in shipping that I did in goods! Here I can only get crappy, expensive soy protein that's not even ecological
  8. If it's still really freezing where you live, as it is here at the mo, try out the last salad (spinach and chickpea) hot, its really nice both ways! Anyway, here is the video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vDZzjboL_c&feature=channel_page I have a few more recipes on my channel on youtube so have a brouse if you are bored
  9. This is really nice! Made of frozen and non-frozen fruit and nuts..and the combination of pineapple and nuts is obviously very cool for any vegan bodybuilders! I made a vid of this recipie for youtube, check it out .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRdtnrc4fgo&feature=channel_page
  10. This is my favorite..and its really easy. 2 sticks celery 2 kiwis 1 large mug of fresh spinach leaves 1 carrot Juice of 3 oranges or mandarins and a bit of espirulina! I liquidize the celery and carrots juice the oranges then blend in the kiwis, espirulina and spinach *If it's too thick add another orange!!! For someone who hasnt tried smoothies before use 1/2 cup of spinach leaves and 1 stick of celery and all the other ingredients the same...only you should liquidize the spinach and not blend it in. Llike this you can only really taste the orange juice. I use this "light" smothie for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it!! The otherone looks like pureed frog-spawn or something and although it tastes really nice she gets a bit freaked out with the way it looks!!! A smoothie I take before training is really delicious..although its not green!! I just blend 2 bananas into 1/2 pint of soya milk with my vitamin B tab and a bit of espirulina.
