  1. obviously soy is not the best thing you can add to your diet, but it's not the worst thing neither, like meat, dairy, and so on.. the conversative forgot to mention that.. they never do.
  2. oh, John Lennon, why didn't think about that before, he's one of my favorite musicians... and i couldn't remember that song. thanks for the help..
  3. Ok, i'm not a big fan of christianism ( i don't even consider myself christian ), but like almost everybody in USA, i celebrate Christmas. And i was looking for some christmas songs that had some AR or anything like that..? I'm not trying to find techno nor classic christmas songs, but something that had a relation with AR, or war, or anything like that, and something fun! Any suggestion?
  4. thanks for the wonderful help, i won't be mixing potatoes and beans ( i usually do that ), and now i understand why i've been farting all the time.. about the soaking i knew already from my cooking book, the problem is that i'm too lazy to remember these things, but i'll try to remember more often now.. and about the fruits.. i didn't know that, i will try to avoid eating before eating beans..
  5. well, honestly, my suggestion is based on logic, not experience.. it's common that one arm or leg is slightly stronger than the other, and the reason why that happens is because we use one arm or leg more than the other, for writing, picking up stuff, and so on.. we end up having one stronger than the other, i don't think it's a problem, we all share that thing in common.. the weak and the strong ones..
  6. i would be angry if the commercial was good, but this commercial is lame, the lamest commercial i've ever seen ( this month ).. it's funny i guess, they don't even know what kind of commercial create now..
  7. So, i was trying to find some more interviews with Peter Singer about AR on YouTube, and i've found some other videos.. one of the videos is the ''red meat commercial'' reaally lame, so stupid that it made me laugh.. for a second. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_n8NLqytSQ It's pathetic! Is that the best they can do? P.S. C'mon people, i need some comments here, the commercial is so pathetic that i had to post, and now i need to know what u guys think when you see somethin' like that.
  8. Peter Singer is really good with interviews, way more than i've expected. I'm suprised. The only thing i didn't like was the interviewer that wouldn't let Peter S. explain Animal Rights, lacking a lot of useful information, but funnny.
  9. i wonder why! @_@ just kidding.. i guess if you stop doing exercises that only require one arm, and start doing exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and so on... might help a lot..
  10. well, i don't usually eat soy products ( not because i try to avoid, it's just because i don't really buy soy products everyday ).. and i keep farting almost everyday.. cuz i love blackbeans.. lentils, pinto beans, red beans, and all the other types of beans, perhaps that's why.. well, i don't really care, it's better out than in..
  11. green goodness is my favorite though, try the blue goodness ( i believe that's the name ), it's really good. =D
  12. The kiwi one is really tasty, and it seems to be healthy, i don't know why you felt sick, maybe there was something wrong with the juice, or perhaps it was something else, i drink that almost everyweek..
  13. Impressive! Vegan for 5 millenea?
  14. ok, just because gorillas eat bugs doesn't mean we have to, i mean, we have agriculture, we don't need to run after the food, we can just buy them, there's no need to run all day for lack of technology.. we also have many other ways to get B12.. Our past and our brothers might have several things in common with us, but now that we're the future, i guess we should start acting like the future, instead of looking back to the past.
  15. i bought a lot of things in veganessentials.com, great website, it's my favorite for vegan stuff.. i'll buy something from them soon, in my réveillon..
  16. I hate to say that, but It's good to hear, that he's FINALLY dead, Augusto Pinochet betrayed his country, he terrorized a lot of people, it's sad that the media, nor another country tried to do anything, when we really need intervention they ignore it. Sadly, it's all about interest.
  17. I was checking some AR pages.. and i've found this page with videos that you can download with torrent. --> http://torrents.rbgi.net/ There's a awesome documentary called ''the rise of AR'' and some other videos.. i hope y'all like it. Happy AR day!
  18. Meat! Just kidding b-6(from wiki): Vitamin B6 is prevalent in both animal and vegetable food sources. Liver, chicken, fish, green beans, field salad, wheat germ, nutritional yeast, sea vegetables and bananas are particularly good food sources. b-9 (folate):Leaf vegetables such as spinach and turnip greens, dried beans and peas, fortified cereal products, sunflower seeds and some other fruits and vegetables are rich sources of folate. b-12: Animmal stuff, pills, and fortified foods. There are none in any plant that has been discovered so far. You can also eat poop (your own is fine) or dirt. It's made by bacteria. Edit: Found this on wikipedia, never heard of it before: "The only known vegan sources of substantial B12, aside from multivitamin supplements and fortified foods, are the Chinese herb Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis) [13], used for centuries for treating anemia, and certain brands of fortified nutritional yeast.[citation needed]" But before they've done more in-depth research on this herb I will keep poppin' pills. All of these vitamins are water soluble so it's merely impossible to overdose. b-12 is practically free so I take a pill with a large dose a few times per week. i don't think B12 is water soluble, if it was our body wouldn't store B12 for years like it usually does.. i think it's fat soluble.. anyways.. i'm just saying..
  19. Modern Vegans i mean, those with small or (no influence ) of ancient religions, those from 1700's to 1900's in the Western or European world. Besides the fruitland, is there any group who was vegetarian or vegan? Rare uhn? Sorry for my curiosity, but I'm unable to control myself sometimes. And i also wanted to know the oldest vegan ( not only by age, but who has vegan the longest ) Again, be patient with me, i know i ask too much. Perhaps it's because i'm one of the youngest members in here.

    Buddhism

one thing i've heard about buddhism ( i hope it's not true ), is that when you act immaturely and do bad things, you might reincarnate in the body of a non-human animal.. and the idea that it gives is that animal is not fully respected or believed to be as important as humans in buddhism? i need someone to explain this to me, whether this is true about buddhism or not, or if i'm making the wrong conclusions, just tell me what you think.
  21. Maybe, or maybe they will refuse it as well. You don't know. But if you accept it, you give no message at all that you find in unacceptable. A couple of years ago, there was a tacky show on called "The Swan," where supposed 'ugly ducklings' (who mostly just needed a new hairstyle and makeup and some exercise to look better) had massive amounts of plastic surgery to be 'beautiful" (most looked like hermaphrodites afterwards). They then had a 'beauty contest' and one of the prized was a fur coat. The winner of the contest refused the coat (and it was reported in several articles about her). Though I didn't think much of her before that, I actually gained a bit of respect for her when I heard that. With 3,000 dollars i guess you could spread the word as well.. In several ways, not only by donating, but also a huge protest, organizing +money.

    Buddhism

can anyone tell me more websites explaining buddhism? i know a little about buddhism and i like it, it's interesting and i agree with a lot of things in buddhism. christianism doesn't work for me.
  23. 1) sell it on ebay, the person buying the coat would already be interested, so you won't have to persuade someone to buy it. 2) selling on ebay you won't have to know the buyer personally, much easier, and private. if that's makes you more comfortable.
