Thanks for the comments.....yeah, there is a HUGE difference between 2000 and 2001. When you first initially start a bodybuilding program you see the most gains...then it takes a little while to see progress the longer you do it.

2001 was by far my most hardcore year training. I was pretty crazy back then. I still train hard but 2001 was so hardcore I ended up tearing 3 muscles all at different times and was in the hospital with mono. I had more mental power back then than ever. I could push it to some pretty insane limits, vomitting in the gym, screaming through workouts, and weeping from the pain. I got some great results but pushed it too hard and was sick and injured as a result.

I train a little smarter now and still get good results. It's funny to see where I've come from. I forgot to list the weights, but in that first photo I was 130 pounds or less as a sophomore in high school. In one photo from 2003 wearing pink posing trunks I was around 190 pounds so I went up quite a bit.

Thanks for the comments. We'll see what 2006 looks like soon.

I know we got a bunch of new members recently so I thought I'd bring this back up to the front to show that in a short amount of time you can make great progress!

For example:

This was me when I started:

And this is me NOW, a few years later:

Great idea to resurrect this thread.

Attention all newcomers: The mind-blowing transition and muscle gains was achieved by Robert through an entirely VEGAN diet and NO steroids and whatnot

That should pretty much once and for all shoot down the misconception that you need to eat animal proteins to achieve these kinds of gains.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks also Nat for pointing out that the transformation was ALL NATURAL and 100% Vegan. From around 157lbs with some bodyfat to 193 pounds with probably less bodyfat! That final picture in pink is only at 178 pounds, pretty much no bodyfat, all veins

Thanks Offense, I was a baby back in 96' only a 16 year old kid in that photo when I first went vegan. I was around 125 pounds I think.

I'll work on the expressions

How are these for facial expressions?

Thanks Chris,

I think I'll start a body transformation thread somewhere just with images of before and after. We them all over the site of Me, Topher, Jonathan, and others, and we have some on the main website too.

It would be cool to have a thread where people can post there before and after shots and update them anytime. So I think I'll get that started in the Photos section.
