We'll be staying predominantly in Ashfield and Concorde with Suz's rels - any suggestions for vegan eats around Sydney, and Brissy too for that matter, would be awesome! Cheers! Trev

Guys, I really need your advice on how to properly organize a trip to Mexico for two people? How to choose airfare, book a hotel and most importantly, how to choose a good resort?

Wow crazy a friend of mine sent me this link and told me about it. It brings around this time when I was also hit by one of these careless drivers and taken to the hospital. ----- Two cyclists were taken to hospital and several others injured after a car drove into a pack of 20 riders in North Saanich. About 20 cyclists from a Victoria-area riding club were traveling west on Lands End Road around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday when a passing car veered into them after being hit by a second car turning onto the road. Several riders hit the ground. Sidney/North Saanich RCMP and B.C. Ambulance crews were alerted and arrived shortly after the crash. Two of the cyclists we…

Hey folks. Exciting stuff coming up, we'll get right to it... Exciting stuff #1: Just got this news from PETA. We're feeling like this might be a good chance for an anti-Primate Center campaign to pick up some steam. There seems to be a lot of potential energy in Portland right now and we're hoping a lot of you folks can join us out there. People can also meet up here at the mini-mall at like 11:00 to do some ride-sharing if you'd like. "During a four month undercover investigation in 2007, a PETA investigator experienced firsthand the anguish that the animals at Oregon Health Sciences University's (OHSU) Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC) endure every …

Taste of Health time again - Sept. 26, 27 & 28 Croatian Cultural Centre It's the 10th anniversary of the TOH this year and there's a special gala on the Friday night. Howard Lyman is speaking, among others. Not sure if it's sold out yet, but if there are any lower mainland members interested, act fast! Suz and I are working it as the official photographers for Earthsave again this year. I met Robert at the TOH for the first time in 2006 and he got me to check out this forum. There seems to have been a lack of vegan athletes repped at the last TOH and this one maybe too. I think Brendan's even out of town for it. Should still be a lot of fun... Trev

Hey everyone, 3 months ago I moved to Spain from Germany. Are any of you living here in Spain? Do any of you know how to survive without tofu/seitan etc? The kitchen I can use contains wholewheat stuff and organic fruits and vegetables (and cheese and meat which I am not interested in), but I cant afford going to the organic store and buying tofu etc. for myself. But when I come home from working out in the evening, I dont like having carbs like brown rice (I had carbs for lunch and breakfast already). Is fruit enough? Or do I NEED things like soy milk etc to cover my protein intake?

Hi, everyone. If any of you are in the Tempe, AZ area, there is a vegan owned and operated gym named Los Campeones to check out. Vegan Bodybuilding, Ryan Nelson, owns the gym. In the next town over, in Mesa, AZ, Will Tucker runs a plant-based fitness studio as well, named Will Tucker Fitness. So, if you're in the Phoenix Valley, you've got multiple options for vegan gyms.
