Is Cheeke Finally "Back?"

Some people have been asking for recent photos. I've only been "back to training" for about 3 weeks or so, maybe 4 weeks. I got really skinny and I'm trying to reverse that.

I still have a long way to go, but I figured I'd show that I'm at least partially "back." Work in progress.........rebuilding.......:

P.S. thanks to Jessifly for suffering through the process of taking the pics:

I'd like to take personal responsibility for a tiny bit of that back progress since I showed you a thing or two in our back workout together when I was in Portland!

Yeah, in my dreams. Folks, it was Mr. Cheeke who kicked MY ass in the workout. Obviously. Well, I've been a little more consistent then, and progress is coming slowly but at least it's coming.

Your back looks great, by the way.

Thanks everyone.

And VeganChamp.....you can take "some" of the credit for my progress because you reminded me that tough training is FUN! We pushed it hard, and I appreciate that!

I will take most credit because I ultimately had to make the change, but You, Zack, xveganjoshx, xdarthveganx, and others can also take some credit for bringing Cheek BACK to form

This is only 3 or 4 weeks of being back in action. Give me time.

Yeah, but we all have to admit, I was pretty pathetic looking during Vegan Vacation

You're right. It does come back pretty quickly. Consistency is key and I've done a pretty good job as of late. Not perfect, or even close to perfect, but I've been doing pretty well with my eating and training schedules (whether I properly record them or not in my journal) I've been back in action.

Thanks man.

As you are a role model for me, I'm happy to see that you saw this thread. It is only 3-4 weeks into my consistent training. I am realizing that I need to eat more and rest more and I'm working on it. I am keeping a Food Journal but it's not always up to date. It doesn't mean I'm not eating a lot and I'm embarrassed to post, I just run out of time or don't make time.

Currently I don't have the internet at home anymore so it makes it harder to update things.

I'm happy to be lifting and eating again. At times the FIRE still burns and the goal is to keep the coals hot for as long as I can and the bigger the flames the bigger the body!

I'm not nearly anywhere I want to be, but I am pleased with myself for making an honest effort for the first time since April 2007 when I competed and produced the photo in my Avatar.

You were not pathetic looking during Vegan Vacation. You may not have been as big as your goals dictate, but you absolutely weren't even remotely pathetic. And I speak with the authority of someone who gave you a massage that week.

Okay, fine.

I guess since you're the only one who saw me naked, I'll go with your assessment.

I still feel bad about the way I represented myself during V.V. because I certainly wasn't a bodybuilder. I was a fasting, raw-food eating, yoga-performing, forest hiking hippie who has his head in the wrong place and suffered on various levels because of it.

It's nice to be on the right track again.

I think what Robert was referring to was some of the yoga photos. While he was in a head stand with his shirt off.

You were by far away from being a raw hippie Rob!

you have forest hiking skills? Lucky Gosh ! I hate that !

I'm glad to see you on track again !
