TheDude
Usually the competitive athletic professional part of the activity is overshadowed by the public negative militaristic outlook on just a small segment of the game. I'll be competing March 30th in a 5 man competition taking in Huntington Beach, CA. Check out: http://www.nppl.tv/site/ My question is are there any other vegan paintballers out there? Guest
There won't be vegan paintballlers until you find vegan paintballs.
Aaron
I think they make some with a veggie base gelatin.

xveganjoshx
Yeah I used to like to go paintballing and have a gun and some balls left, from years ago, somewhere in my parents garage. I believe the paintballs have fish oil in them. For the loss.
CollegeB
Some vegan book I read years ago advocated continuing on with things as is like using paintballs (their example were ice skates) until some alternative can be had.
Guest
I think for some things it may be important but something as fun bases as paint balling wouldn't fall under that category. I think ice skates may be an exception if your were an NHL hockey player(now lots of skates are vegan) but no Joe Blow paintballer...I don't think people look up to good paintballers and their diets. Guest
That would be nice...then you could eat them too. I'm thinking they're in shells made from gelatin too though(thats probably the hard part to make vegan)
sydneyvegan
I really use to love paint ball... It really sucks that they don't use Vegan paint balls...Ummm, I must admit I occassionally get a little hyped when playing... If you hit me that's fine, if you keep shooting me once I have surrended then I'll introduce you to my friend PAIN....
LongTimeVegan
I used to play paintball as a teenager. I was pretty bummed when I became vegetarian, then found out the capsules were made of gelatin. It's been about 18 years since I've played. I used to wonder how many cases of balls you'd need to order from the manufacturer to spec veggie gelatin (if that's even possible in this application). -Chris
Guest
I can imagine they wouldn't even hold up. Veggie caps aren't as resilient as gelatin. This is why film isn't vegan...Fuji has been trying for years to make a non gelatin film but it won't hold up to even reasonably warm temperatures.
