I'm trying to understand the game to no avail...It seems like the women with stars on their helmets are of a certain significance? Also I've might have heard the word 'pass' but I don't see a ball. Each bout (game) is broken into jams, each of which lasts no more than 2 minutes. In each jam, each team puts on 4 blockers and 1 jammer. The 8 blockers form a pack. The jammers skate around and try to get through the pack. After the first pass through, they then get 1 point for each opposing blocker they pass. Of course, the blockers are all trying to stop the opposing jammer and help their own jammer. Blockers are allowed to knock over other blockers and the jammer, though there are rules about legal and illegal hits. The jammers are the ones with the stars on their helmets.
