http://www.naturalbodybuildingevents.com/ just posted 2010 schedule of events. It looks like the one in Philly is a possibility for me (that is if I don't end up having some crazy surgery for my shoulder before than)

hahaha
Sorry I didn't get it up last night (that's what she said...) yesterday was hell. I spent the whole afternoon on the phone with my insurance companay, the doctor at hopkins doesn't except my insurance ao I have to pay for the appointment out of pocket. But they want me to have an ultrasound of my arteries around my brachial plexus to make sure there are no blockages from compression. So... I have to see if this will be covered by my insurance, still have more phone calls today. On top of that crap, I had a final in psych (thank god it's over!)
anywho, this isn't exactly what I ate yesterday but it's about what I eat on a regular:
breakfast
2 1/2 tbs choco rice protien
1/2 banana
1tbs PB
1 cup low sugar choco soymilk (on the days I work out)
snack
1/4 cup oatmeal
12 almonds
1 scoop nitrofusion (somtimes with either raspberries or strawberris and water and ice)
lunch
I'll cook up some seitan, 2 vegetables (like brocolli or a bunch of romainne lettuce) have an eziekiel wrap with an avacado. (I usually eat half of what I cook up)
snack
if I work out that day: cliff builder
if not: an apple and 1tbs PB
dinner
letfover lunch, no wrap
Usually have water at everymeal, although I should be drinking more. Looking at this now, it feel like I should be measuring out my veggies more. I'm sure I should be eating a whole lot more of them.
I've been working out M-W-F (for now, when the next senester starts, I'd like to do M/T off WEd. and thurs/friday. That is if the doctor doesn't find some crap that requires surgery

Hey all..question.
I am writing down what I am eating today and will post it soon. (it'll be a bit different from my normal, since we don't have much left in our kitchen, we're going away for the weekend and didn't want anything to go bad)
I am wondering if I am consuming enough calories and/or carbs to help support muscle gain. I am still working hard and lifting heavy and maybe I am still making gains, but I feel like I have not seen any new gains.
will post by tonight.
Just to let everyone know, I am scheduling an appointment with a doctor at Hopkins who is a specialist in Thoracic outlet syndrome (my ortho was concerned this is what is going on with my shoulder.) apparently it's a bitch to get diagnosed. I feel like a person on that TV show medical mystery

I would suggest taking a night time medication (if it's a long flight) that might help her fall asleep and not think of the pain as much. Next best thing is the water idea.
On the last flight I was on (San Fran to Baltimore) I had an ear infection (at 24 I get them a bit frequently..small ear canals) I don't suggest blowing your ears out, I used to do this until my ENT told me I could blow my ear drum doing it.

I don't think I'll enter any more contests.. My training is shit right now cuz I'm working every night at the office instead of at the gym. Also, it's just like last year with the same people winning over and over again.
Last year I was competing with Dani and she won a few competitions but now she's not around anymore and I can't compete with Ruz.. I'm just a runt compared to her! Lol
You should enter anyway! if anything, it's for charity! I'm entering this one, knowing there's not a chance in hell I'll even place! my shoulders are my weakest link right now.
-
It's official! I have been accepted into Grad school!!
-
I'll enter..just don't laugh at the weakness that is my shoulders

Haha, Yea it never works for me.

yea I know...old post. But now everytime I hear this song:
i think of this post.
He said, "I’ve been watching you, dad ain’t that cool?
I’m your buckaroo, I wanna be like you.
And eat all my food and grow as tall as you are."
"‘Cause I’ve been watching you, dad ain’t that cool?
I’m your buckaroo, I want to be like you.
And eat all my food and grow as tall as you are.
By then I’ll be strong as superman
We’ll be just alike, hey, won’t we dad
When I can do everything you do.
‘cause I’ve been watchin’ you."

Thanks lobsteriffic,
I had the MRI. I might have to go back for one with contrast (never done that before and it honestly scares the crap out of me!)
Have another appt. with the ortho next week do go over my MRI, i'll keep you all posted. In the meantime I'll be living in pain (that wont seem to go away!!)

1.)People who can't put crap back when they are done with it. And when they do put the weights back it's in the wrong freaking spot (yes I'm a bit anal)
2.) people that just sit there at a machine in between sets, could you freaking move so I can get on with my work out? I like to actually keep my heart rate up.
3.)lastly, all of the people that come in to do cardio but are moving slower on the elliptical than they walk. Do they seriously think thats doing them any good?
This dude who just screams yeah buddy to himself while walking around, I swear...Robert?
or
Giacomo?
ha ha ha

"Question-
I am looking to enter a fitness model or bikini comp early next year (hopefully one not far from this area because of school I won't be able to travel too far)- how can I find out what comps will be going on next year (and on this side of the country?)"
ANYONE???
Anyhow...
I have another MRI tomorrow, I feel a little bit more hopeful with this one. They are looking to see if there is any compression of my thoracic outlet area. They're imaging my brachial plexus and supraclavical. I have been doing some research online and found this: TOS or Thoracic outlet syndrome, I can relate to MANY of the symptoms. So hope I can get some answers. I don't plan on giving up on this if the MRI comes back with nothing. Apparently TOS is often misdiagnosed.

Well lets all workout. Name the time and the place get Myke out and what not and let me know. I work in new Carrolton so if a weekday you guys are free or if there is a week end you guys want to get fit let me know. Hit me up on my cell. Let me know if you dont have it. I am always pretty much down to workout hard.
By the way I don't have your cell... We'll have to see about that work out session. Days are pretty packed right now (we just moved)
Once we get all settled in we plan on having a little house warming, of course our VBBF family is more than welcome

Cognitive psych is kicking my butt!!! ahh! the average in the class on quizzes is an 11 out of 20, which in my professor's sick mind is a 'C'. In other news, I am officially applied to grad school for sociology (which I enjoy SO SO SO much more than psych)

I am going to my 4th shoulder appt. today. I am demanding an MRI and am done with the stupid meds! I refuse to take that crap when I have no clue what is even wrong.

Congrats Ruz! I'm pretty surprised with how well I did actually, it's a bit of an ego booster, injuries can have a negative affect on how you view yourself. speaking of my injury... I have my 4th appointment today. yippee

This is SO freaking awesome! I have a friend who is a regular on there and he is always (in a joking kind of way) giving my crap for being vegan. In yo' face!!

Not all bowling shoes are made of leather. There's a good chance that the ones at the lane might be, unfortunately the tag is either not there or so worn that they don't say. But they do make ones that are not made of leather.
Re-gaining control. It's on like Donkey Kong

I had my ultrasound at Hopkins today...good news is I don't have any life threatening blood clots in my left shoulder region. But I still have an appointment with the doc there in October, so I'm not completely out of the clear yet. At least it doesn't look too serious
