That was least few years back, one night, I was listening to local radio station and talk show host was listening to a lady who wrote a book about human experimentation and she told us about a woman who was being used as experiment tool in hospital. Woman was told to wait in waiting room but seemingly ordinary waiting room was filled with radiation without her to know about it! This is just a tip of the iceberg compare to what she told us about human experiment in hospital. After I listened to her, I start having fear of hospital and doctors. Of course, I think most doctors in hospitals are not killers and they treat their patients best way they know but who knows where is sick minded doctor who doesn't mind to use us as experimental tool knowing experimenting on people is only effective way to gain knowledge about treatment of human sicknesses and diseases and animal experimentation is useless.

When we type 'PETA kills animals' on search engine, we can find hundreds of article to criticize PETA but I wonder if these people had sense enough to stop and think. These people need to criticize selfish money hungry lazy pet breeders who are contributing to horrible pet population explosion problems and need to think about ROOT OF PROBLEM instead of blame on PETA for putting unwanted surplus animals to sleep. Puppy mill owners, back yard breeders, Cat Fancy, Dog Fancy, American Kennel Club are breeding millions of cats and dogs while millions of sheltered animals are waiting to be executed while other millions of starving homeless animals roaming on the street. If animals were humanely euthanised in NC animal shelters, of course PETA never got involved in taking animals out of shelters and putting to sleep. I saw horrible condition of animal shelters in state of NC on PETA website and I also read article written by president of PETA about why PETA got involved in taking out animals from NC animal shelters. compassionategirl, some homeless people have mental problem and animals are not safe with some homeless people. Some homeless people end up on the street because of their mental problem and unable to find job first place. Many homeless people are afraid to go in shelter where homeless people stay and they feel much safer to sleep on freezing cold street. I was watching television when they showed homeless man and his dog. His dog was forced to inhale smoke constantly and killed in fire because his smoking habit caused fire and burned his shelter! I don't think putting animals with group of homeless people is good idea. Not to change the subject, I was speaking to a man who clean building about stray cat I wanted to place because he sounded like very nice man. One of my co-worker told me that I should not let him have animal because he has mental problem and cannot care for animals. I don't believe in discrimination against people with problems but when we place animals, we must think realistically and place in safe home with responsible people.

Jay, I think animals have rights because they are sentient creatures just like us. Animals have their own language. I don't think inability to communicate with us is reason to deny their rights. BTW, human race is worst creatures on this earth compared to non human animals. Corruption, war, murder, animal exploitation, environmental destruction, etc. Animals only take what they need but people are killing animals for enjoyment and for status.
