  1. So his flexible veganism is vegan when he has control and other times is vegetarian. That is probably true for most of us, to some degree. We can not know if we get some diary or eggs or even meat in restaurant orders and some already prepared grocery items.

Not really! That's why I only eat at veganrestaurants. If for some reason I have to eat at a normal restaurant (family dinner) I'll just order a salad without dressing. Seriously, I don't mean to judge anybody but 'flexible veganism'? Come on.. Of course it's better than not being vegan at all, but you are in control, at all times.

  2. i walk my dog and i try to avoid the ants .... and im digging out weeds i move the worms so i dont kill them..... does that make me k00 k00? lol

Yes it does! Just kiddin, I'm right there with you. What I hate the most is when I spend hours trying to make that one annoying fly fly out of my window.

As for leather, I don''t buy it, but I do wear some. I've got a leather jacket that used to belong to my grandpa and it means a lot to me. It has been the reason for many discussions with vegan friends though.

  3. Yeah, it sucks but it is possible. I have to do an allergietest everyone 6 months or so, because they keep changing. Right now I'm allergic to milk (which I wasn't before I went vegan), nuts and some seeds. I used to be allergic to soy too, but luckily I grew over that. So on the bright side, if you actually are allergic to soy it is possible that it will go away in a few months.

  4. Thanks for the reactions!

The weird thing is that I have none of the symptoms..

Part of getting stronger is allowing your body enough recovery time. If you are working each body part only once a week, then maybe 5-6 days of training is alright, but probably may lead to overtraining. Do you mean you lift weights 5-6 days a week? Or are you counting other types of workouts as well?

I lift weights, and the whole routine each time I train.

If you lift the same amount of weight as in previous workouts or, especially, less, that's a pretty good sign of insufficient recovery.

I'm still getting stronger. In fact, I'm thinking about not increasing the weight any more because I train using only free weights and I think more weight will put too much stress on my joints.

Some signs of overtraining are fatigue and/or insomnia, lack of interest in working out, constant aches and pains.

Never fatigued, sleeping like a rose, still interested, not really.

So.. can I conlcude that as long as I'm feeling fine I can continue this way? Or are there some nasty long-term effects?

  5. Hey there,

Can someone tell me what the negative effects of overtraining are? Cause I really like to work out like 5-6 times a week and everybody keeps telling me that I should train less, because of overtraining, but nobody can tell me really what is so bad about it. It's true that I'm not really increasing muscle size but I am getting stronger and that is my goal.

  6. I'd like that.. I used to do aggresive in-line competitions when I was about 13 years old, but haven't touched my skates for about 6-7 years. I wonder if I can still to do it...

But like I said before, anything is fine by me. Maybe if everyone could make a top-5 of what they'd like to we can decide easier..

  7. Mwahahahaha.... I hereby challenge the writer of that bullshit to a one-on-one fight and I'll show him what a wuss I am!

Seriously, why do people get so annoyed by vegans? If someone wants to eat meat, go ahead, I will politely you inform him about the suffering of his dinner but I would never be this abusive to someone because he eats meat. Why on earth would this person spread ridiculous stories about veganism? Get a life...
